Glenrothes By-election

Labour performed a minor miracle in Glenrothes last night and managed to hold on to the seat, albeit with a reduced majority of 6,737 compared to the previous majority of about 10 and a half thousand. The SNP achieved a swing of 5% in their favour.

The result was particularly disappointing for UKIP who came 7th out of 8 although this is nothing unusual in a Scottish election which begs the question: should we be wasting valuable resources contesting by-elections in a country that only votes for left wing, socialist eurofederalists?
