True Finns come third in Finnish election

UKIP's partners in the EU Parliament, True Finns, have come joint second by votes in today's Finnish general election with 19.1% of the vote.

The party has gone from political insignificance 4 years ago to finish in third place today and may end up a major player in the coalition that will be formed to govern Finland in the coming days.

The final results are:
  • National Coalition Party 20.3% (44 seats)
  • Social Democrats 19.1% (42 seats)
  • True Finns 19.1% (39 seats)
  • Center Party 15.8% (35 seats)
  • Left Alliance 8.1% (14 seats)
  • Greens 7.2% (10 seats)

The Greens and the Centre party suffered a huge loss of seats and have already announced they won't be in the next government. This leaves the True Finns no excuse for not being a major player in the government. That might not mix well with their candidates political inexperience. Going from obscurity to 20% support in 4 years is a little too fast.

What good have experienced politicians done the Finns? Or any of us? Inexperienced politicians are more likely to question why something is done rather than doing it because it's always been done that way.
Great news!

Even better news, the greens got a slapping! Scandihoovians in general were the first to start sipping from the grail of green bullshit so great to see them go full circle and bin them and their fake dogma.
Hurrah for the Finns! Perhaps it will encourage a few more people here in the UK to consider voting for a party that would take us out of the EU, instead of just moaning about it and then voting for a pro-European party.
And just incase you were unsure what to think of the True Finns party - the BBC has this lovely piece here

Is there a UKIP policy to scrap the TC license fee that finances this troupe of socialist twerps?
