Conservative councillor banned for drink driving


A Conservative councillor in Lincolnshire has been convicted of drink driving.

East Lindsey District Councillor Lesley-Jayne Marfleet was seen driving erratically by the police who pulled her over and breathalysed her after seeing that she was visibly drunk. She was found to be two and a half times over the drink drive limit.

She has been banned from driving for 25 months.

This is discusting, absolutely discusting. A councillor gets caught driving with a breath test registering 98! and she tries to give reasoning...she said she was celebrating her divorce...it gets worse...she thinks that having a broken family is something to celebrate! Then she says she didn't intend to drive home from Louth after a night out and it was only due to her confused drunken state that she made a bad decision to drive home...errrm why drive the car there then if you wasn't intending to drive home...seriously....drunk drivers are killers...just a pitty we have to wait for them to kill someone before they get locked up....and as for the trashy lies and trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes....it doesn't work....no one thinks you didn't mean it....just thought you wouldn't get caught....well you did, just accept it, give up the Councillor job and let someone respectable and honest do it instead. Shameful....

She was driving without an MOT last year and got caught for that too....wonder what things people don't get caught doing...
