Dudley Labour's £40k pay rises for senior staff

Dudley's Labour-run council are planning pay rises of up to £40k for some senior managers as part of a restructure.

The number of directors will be cut in half from 22 to 11 but the directors that keep their jobs will be given the pay rise to reflect the "bigger role". The ruling Labour councillors are supporting the pay rise whilst the opposition UKIP and Conservative councillors are opposing it.
