Cameron's proudest achievement is increasing foreign aid

David Cameron says that his proudest achievement is increasing foreign aid by 30% whilst more than a million people in the UK have had to use food banks.

Amongst the beneficiaries of the UK's £11,4bn foreign aid budget - which the Tories are currently trying to make a legal obligation - are India with its space and nuclear programme, Pakistan which spends more than half its government budget on military and debt payments and Zimbabwe where Robert Mugabe spends £12m a year on travel and nothing (literally) on schools.

It's a crying shame that people round the world are going hungry, unvaccinated and uneducated but people in the UK are hungry and homeless and that should be the priority of the British government, not funding weapons, space rockets and private jets.
