Conservative Deputy Mayor of Seaford defects to UKIP

The Deputy Mayor of Seaford has defected from the Conservatives to UKIP.

Cllr Terry Goodman has switched to UKIP citing poor decision making and judgement by the Conservative group and pressure to toe the party line even if it's the wrong decision for his constituents. He defected from the Lib Dems to the Conservatives in August 2011 after the Lib Dem group suspended him for not denouncing the leader of the town council over his refusal to stand down over drink driving charges.

There are now 8 Conservatives, 5 UKIP, 3 independents and 3 Lib Dems on Seaford Town Council.
