85% support UKIP's stance on banning ritual slaughter

A week ago we ran a poll asking if UKIP should ban ritual slaughter.

There have been efforts to try and force a reversal of the policy - only this evening I've received an email from a lobbyist on the subject - but it looks like public opinion is behind the party once again. There were 125 votes in the poll and over 85% were in favour of banning all ritual slaughter.

HALAL belongs in the dark ages. Anyone who disagrees with that is leaning their political bias rather than their intelligence.

UKIP's statement doesn't ban ritual slaughter, it insists on pre-stunning. There's a debate to be had, but misrepresenting UKIP's stated position isn't a good way to start it.
