Newcastle man charged with threatening to kill UKIP candidate

A Newcastle man has appeared in front magistrates after being charged with threatening to kill a UKIP candidate.

Aftab Ahmed allegedly threatened to behead UKIP candidate, David Robinson-Young, during a phone call. Ahmed denies making the threat against Robinson-Young, a barrister specialising in employment and discrimination law.
