English Democrats regional leader Steve Uncles convicted of election fraud

The south east of England regional leader of the English Democrats has been convicted of 9 counts of electoral fraud and is facing a prison sentence.

Steve Uncles invented people to put forward as candidates for the 2013 local elections, even writing up fictitious personal profiles for them. When he was caught he made up a story about it being a plot by UKIP to discredit him. As well as making people up he forged signatures for people who do exist.

He has been granted conditional bail with a curfew and told to put his affairs in good order because he's probably going to prison.

I was heavily involved with the English Democrats. An organisation of its type is desperately needed to give England a voice. I have always wondered whether Mr Uncles has problems with his logic circuits or if he is in position with wilful intent. He needed removing from the party many years ago and very serious patriots on their national committee tried to do exactly that, the fact that he was a protected being within the party cost them many very good, active members. He deserves whatever he gets and so long as he remains in the party it will remain insignificant. Shame

I remember it well. Gladly Paul Nuttall is now in charge of UKIP and supports an English Parliament. I expect the majority of the remaining non-BNP, non-NF members of the English Democrats will move over to UKIP like all the party activists did a couple of years ago.
