Clegg confirms Cameron's referendum lie

Nick Cleggover has formally announced Camoron's intention to deprive us of another promised referendum on the EU Constitution/Lisbon Treaty.

Camoron promised a "referendum lock" which would prevent any more powers being transferred to the EU or new treaties without a referendum.  It's been 6 months since he lied himself into power and since then he's handed over control of the financial sector to an EU regulator, approval of the national budget budget to an EU quango and signed up to the EU diplomatic corps representing our "interests" abroad.  How many referenda have we had?  None.

Now France and Germany want more powers for the EU over the economies of member states to help them prop up the Euro and to legalise the EU bailout of Greece.  The new powers will require a change to the Lisbon Treaty.  A change to the Lisbon Treaty requires a referendum, the Tories said so less than two months ago:
The lock will mean that any future treaty amendment which seeks to transfer power from the UK to Brussels will require a referendum in this country

- David Lidington, Minister for Europe the EU
Of course Camoron and Cleggover say that the new powers will only apply to members of the Euro but Herman van Rumpy-Pumpy says that the changes he has been asked to come up with will apply to all member states.

How do rank and file Tories put up with this constant betrayal from their leaders?  Almost every day another deceit is exposed, another promise broken, another lie told.  How can their members keep faith in their party when they are repeatedly deceived and their long-held principals abandoned to further the federalist agenda?  I can understand Tory MPs, MEPs and Councillors putting their careers and expenses before their principals but what about the majority of the rapidly declining membership (about 10k per year decline according to this source) who pay to be lied to?

That we are ruled by a TREASONOUS elite 'criminal class' is no longer in dispute. We are not represented by our government, Judiciary, Policeforce or Media. The only way the people can fight this and regain our liberties is by witholding our taxes until we are given a referendum on the EU. Protesting on the streets only results in the violence and 'Kettling' we have seen in recent demonstrations. We must bypass the corrupt political route as the Media makes it imposible for dissenting views to be heard. A quiet, dignified fiscal revolution is the 'smart' way forward. All that is required to fix this is a simple act of Lawful Rebellion by every taxpayer who have the right to withold taxes when the governing classes are endangering the very survival of the Nation. In fact, we are obliged to stand against this tyranny. If every taxpayer sent in a blank tax return in Jan/April with a covering letter invoking the Common Law and the right to withold taxes until we are properly represented and given a referendum then what could they do about it? Nothing? ( I invite submissions for a standard letter that could be downloaded and shared) Its time to take back what has been stolen from the Great British People and this is the way to do it without bloodshed. If we stand together we are powerful and effective. Now is the time to act if we want to have a country left to pass on to our children.

I am an ex serviceman who volunteered to serve in HM forces on the day war broke out.. Up to about 3 years ago I worked hard to support the Conservatives but am now totally disillusioned by the dishonesty of the Prime Minister and his constant broken promises. We now have all 3 "old" parties who have broken to hold referendums on membership of the E.U. but have betrayed the British people by giving away our Sovereignty andhanding over £48 million of our taxes to this corrupt organisation. The Britain that my generation fought to keep a free, independent democracy is no longer in existaence. Over 70% of our laws are passed in Brussells by members over whom we have no control as British MEPs constitute less than 10% of the whole.. There are several organisations which oppose this state of affairs but have little impact because they will not unite to form an effective whole. The time is long since past when they should unite but it is not too late. For God`s sake put aside minor differences and get together before it is too late. Do not vote for any of the old parties but VOTe UKIP. C.Burkett
