UKIP third in Opinium/Guardian poll

UKIP is polling third ahead of the Lib Dems in yet another poll, no doubt to the disappointment of the Guardian who commissioned it.

Opinium have Labour in the lead on 41%, the Tories second on 30%, UKIP on 10% and the Lib Dems on 9%.  The Greens are languishing in fifth of the UK-wide parties on just 3% and the BNP are sixth on 1%.  The SNP are on 4% which would translate to 48% if they were a UK-wide party.  Plaid Cymru have all but disappeared into obscurity with less than 1%.

Opinium don't offer UKIP as a choice alongside the LibLabCon when asking for voting intention and when it produces graphics UKIP is lumped in with "Other" even though UKIP is out-polling the Lib Dems in every poll and accounts for half of the "Other" group.  We have criticised this behaviour by some of the polling companies and Survation Chief Executive, Damian Lyons Lowe, did the same last month.  It's utter nonsense to list the Lib Dems but not UKIP.

I,m the first to celebrate the rise of Ukip up the Poles and it shows what sustained hard work can be acteived by the Membership.,
But we should not lose sight of the fact just because we are poling this great numbers(and long may it continue to rise) At an election must be converted in to Seats and we know from the last election that the LIberials lost out due to how we Pole in this country.
It is important to "keep the Faith" and continue to work for success
I applaud the rise of UKIP, and having seen Andrew Neil's verbal assault on Nigel Farage on Sunday's politics, the BBC would obviously wish the UKIP would go away. I've actually complained to the BBC as I felt other politicians never get such a verbal onslaught, especially those that fiddled their expenses including the master of deception one Tony Blair who destroyed his, so I won't hold my breath but I hope Andrew Neil gets the sack.
