A Labour candidate in Hounslow has been suspended from representing the Labour Party pending the outcome of a court case over alleged sex offences.
Gurpal Virdi will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court on the 30th where he is accused of indecently assaulting a boy under the age of 16 nearly 30 years ago.
Virdi is still contesting the election but will appear on the ballot papers as an independent.
