Highland Lib Dem councillor forced to resign for sharing anti-Muslim propaganda

A Lib Dem councillor in Skye who shared anti-Muslim pictures from Britain First on Facebook has been forced to resign as Chair of the Highland Council's Community Safety, Public Engagement & Equalities Committee and from his party.

Cllr Drew Millar says that he doesn't think the pictures were from Britain First and that he was treated unfairly by the panel investigating him. He believes that the status he shared describing Nick Clegg as a cretin is more likely to have got him into trouble. His support for Scottish independence probably didn't help his case either.
