The Public Is Bored Of Cameron And His Cast Iron Promises
And everyone yawned.
Speaking personally, I really couldn't be bothered to read what he said in any detail - something about cutting benefits to immigrants, was it? Firstly, Cameron's "essay crisis" style of leadership - or more correctly followship - is entirely reactive. As such it is always, too little too late, and his lazy, gentleman-amateur way of governing means that the details are invariably badly thought out and the proposals sloppy. Finally, of course, is his notorious mendacity and bad faith in following through on implementation.
Like Tony Blair before him, Cameron seems to view the act of making a speech about something as real as doing what he was talking about. In Blair's case, his charisma meant that it certainly worked for a considerable time as far as electoral popularity was concerned, but by the time Cameron came along people had begun to see through the charade. Cameron both lacks Blair's star quality and was elected by people already bored of spin and style over substance. Whereas Blair inherited an economic boom, Cameron has had to govern in a time of unremitting austerity.
All these reasons means that Cameron's shelf-life at the top in considerably shorter than his mentors. The boredom and sense of ennui when he gave his latest speech marks the beginning of the end. The public are beginning to want a change in leader. Although Cameron's personal ratings are considerably above his party's, this will change as boredom changes to hostility. Never very popular with his backbenchers, he has made plenty of enemies due to his aloofness and arrogance. Once his personal approval ratings become worse than his party's, then it's possible he will face a leadership challenge.
However, it is more likely that he will simply step down quite soon after the next election. Never very interested in governing, his ambition was simply to be Prime Minister for a period of time, because, well it's just something that someone of his background is born to do. Soon it's back to the grouse, the hunt and riding with the Chipping Norton set. He will leave behind him a country little if any better than the one he found, and a demoralised and badly damaged Conservative Party.
But we in UKIP should thank him. If it wasn't for his arrogance, his Metropolitan snobbery, his ill-treatment and contempt for his own activists, his complacency and cowardice, UKIP would perhaps never have morphed into the powerful insurgent force it is today.
Agent Cameron, once again we salute your service to Queen, country and the United Kingdom Independence Party.

Just 20 people turn up for left wing protest against UKIP in Penarth
University of East Anglia anti-UKIP campaigner is a convicted violent criminal
Liam McCafferty was arrested for a violent assault on a police officer during a Unite Against Fascism protest against the EDL is Bolton in 2010. He appealed his conviction but lost and was ordered to pay more than £1k in fines and costs.
Convicted violent criminal McCafferty told Douglas Carswell MP that it was necessary to ban UKIP from the university so they would feel safe.

University of East Anglia bans UKIP then backtracks
Timea Suli's petition said it was necessary to hold the debate off the campus if UKIP were involved so that students could "feel safe, secure and respected". There is no explanation why students would feel unsafe, insecure or disrespected if UKIP was represented in the political debate, it is simply politically motivated:
We are hoping to gain attention on the issue and encourage support from people who believe that UKIP do not deserve a podium at our tolerant campus. The University of East Anglia has attracted lots of criticism over the key role it played in producing fraudulent "science" to back up the extremist global warming agenda and attempts to destroy the careers of the honest scientists who tried to expose it. There are probably very few staff at UEA who would want UKIP on the campus given the party's stance on the global warming fraud that the university makes vast sums of money promoting.
Following public criticism and unwanted media attention over the ban, the Student Union says that it will reschedule the debate.

UKIP win in Bridlington
Milns is already a town councillor for Bridlington and won the East Riding seat comfortably.
Bridlington is a working class northern town that has problems with unemployment, health and a dwindling tourist economy - proof, if proof were needed, that UKIP prospers in Labour's post-industrial heartlands just as much as it does in the leafy suburbs and country towns that have traditionally been Tory strongholds.
Name | Party | Votes | % |
Malcolm Milns | UKIP | 401 | 30.85% |
John Copsey | Conservative | 352 | 27.08% |
Liam Dealtry | Independent | 217 | 16.69% |

Angela Merkel will veto attempts to limit immigration
David Cameron is running out of time to get any meaningful changes to our relationship with the EU. Every time he makes a promise to stop something from happening or change the way something works he comes up against the immovable force that is Germany who want to change nothing because the EU is run by and for Germany.
Tory minister Grant Shapps refused to admit that they can do nothing to limit immigration from the EU on last night's BBC The Agenda, instead bragging about how the Tories have discriminated against skilled workers from our friends in the Commonwealth to try and mitigate the unsustainable level of immigration from unskilled workers and benefits tourists from the EU.
Alright, I'll give you the shirt of my back but please just pretend you're going to let me do something about immigration until after the election |

Mark Reckless wins Rochester & Strood for UKIP
The majority was less than some predicted but it's just under 3,000 and over 7% which is pretty healthy. The Tories are trying to spin the defeat as a positive and claim that because the margin is smaller than they predicted, they can win the seat back in 2015. It looks like their target seat maths is as dodgy as the maths they used to predict the UKIP margin because Mark Reckless' 2,090 vote majority makes it the 125th largest majority in the country.
The Tories came a respectable but still fairly distant second whilst Labour finished in third place more than 25% behind UKIP. The Green Party finished in fourth with 4.22%, just missing the magic 5% that would have kept their deposit and the Lib Dems were relegated to fifth place with 0.87% of the vote and were only spared the embarrassment of losing to the Monster Raving Loony Party (something normally reserved for the English Democrats who didn't stand in this by-election) by 198 votes. Britain First's lowly 9th place with just 56 votes shows that their clever social media propaganda machine hasn't turned them into a credible electoral force.
Well done to all involved in the election campaign, the activists that travelled from all parts of the UK and beyond to campaign for Mark Reckless and of course to Mark Reckless himself for the brave decision to resign following his defection and contest his seat as a UKIP candidate. Your hard work paid off, you have helped to make history.
Candidate | Party | Votes | % |
Mark Reckless | UKIP | 16,867 | 42.10% |

Clive Gregory | Green | 1,692 | 4.22% |
Geoff Juby | Lib Dem | 349 | 0.87% |

Stephen Goldsbrough | Independent | 69 | 0.17% |

EU demands £680m to cover overspend
It's only been a couple of weeks since they landed a £1.7bn bill on George Osborne's desk and now they want more. At least they had a flimsy pretext for demanding the £1.7bn, they didn't just say "we've spent too much money, give us some more".
Former Labour councillor accuses Welsh Labour of using discrimination inconsistently
The Labour Party has been using all-women shortlists to select candidates for some time even though they have been ruled illegal on more than one occasion. Former councillor Siobhan Corria has accused the Welsh Labour Party of only enforcing all-women shortlists where they don't have a preferred male candidate.
The Labour Party denies the accusation and says that it consistently discriminates against men to artificially inflate the number of women in the Welsh Assembly and town halls across Wales.

North Norfolk Conservative councillor defects to UKIP
Cllr Russell Wright said that he believed the Conservative Party had left him, not the other way round and highlighted their failure of young people as a major reason for defecting.
The core values which drew me to the Conservatives were the values my family had lived our life by for generations: Hard work, looking after your own family, a pride in your locality, responsibility not rights, low taxation and welfare only as a last resort.
I'm not an expert economist, but I've been in business for 30 years and I know you cannot spend more than you earn,
“This Tory government has doubled the national debt since 2010. If this carries on, our children and grandchildren will have no future. You can only have welfare if you create the wealth to pay for it.

An MP who doesn't make their party/whip clear is deceiving you.
You have an MP for one official reason only - to represent you in the House of Commons - in debates, but most importantly in divisions (parliamentary votes).
This is they only thing they have unique privileges/rights to do - this is what they are paid for.
Everything else they do - charity work, community activities, etc it entirely their own business - they could do this whether or not they were an MP. They are not councillors, social workers, community activists - at least not as part of being an MP. Any such activities they do on their own account and should do on their own time at their own expense.
With this in mind - the essential right to vote in the House of Commons - the biggest influence on any non-independent MP is their party whip. The party whip works for the party leader, to force MPs to support the party/party-leader on parliamentary votes.
Any MP who does not absolutely and clearly show which whip they obey is deceiving the voter, and hiding the biggest potential conflict of interest they have chosen to accept.
It should be a legal requirement (if not already, under the trades description act) for all MP's to declare their party loyalty/whip whenever the represent themselves as an MP.

Whitby UKIP councillor forced to resign as school governor
Cllr Mike Ward says that he was told by headteacher Sue Whealan that his membership of UKIP is not compatible with the values of the school. The statement of values for the school, which Cllr Ward signed off as Chair of the Board of Governors, says the school's aim is that all students:
- are safe and healthy
- enjoy and achieve
- make a positive contribution
- experience success so that they are equipped to make their way in the world of work
The school, the council and the headteacher have yet to explain how Cllr Ward's membership of UKIP doesn't support the aims he himself signed off or why Cllr Ward's human right not to be discriminated against because of his political views have been violated.
This one isn't going to go away any time soon.

Nigel Farage on last night's EU arrest warrant farce
Jacob Rees-Mogg MP said it was "fundamentally underhand" while Bill Cash MP said it was a "disgraceful way of going about a very important matter".
Because the government has acted in this way, the British public will likely be dragged back into the European Arrest Warrant, without so much as a vote for our democratic representatives.
And yet the Tories want you to believe they are tough on Europe.
Watch this video below, and consider donating us £3.70, £37, or £370 to represent the scant few Tories who opposed further EU integration last night. You guessed it: there was ONLY 37 OF THEM.
Remember, on the European Arrest Warrant (and just about everything else)... don't trust the Tories.
Thank You,
Nigel Farage
P.S. Don't forget to share and forward this on

Osborne declares victory over paying EU's £1.7bn bill
The EU was demanding a £1.7bn payment to cover the extra amount we would have paid in membership fees since 1995 if they'd included prostitution and drug dealing in their calculations of the size of the UK economy like they are now. George Osborne has brought forward £1bn of next year's rebate to take £850m off the £1.7bn bill so it's still costing us £1.7bn.
While the Tories have been trying to spin this as a victory, the EU have said that this was the amount we were supposed to be paying and Osborne has achieved nothing. If they think we're going to be taken in by some dodgy maths, the Tories must think we're as stupid as they are!

UKIP councillor in Torbay prevented from giving evidence of sexual abuse
Cllr Parrott asked whether Torbay was a safe place and after being told by the chair that it was, he attempted to inform councillors of the 32 cases of violence, threats and rape against women and children that had been to court recently and a confidential police report citing 65 cases of child sexual exploitation this year but was prevented from doing so by the chair.
Cllr Parrott walked out in protest, as did a local resident who told the chair "you are a disgrace madam".

DCLG appoint chief executive and commissioners to run Tower Hamlets
Bangladeshi mayor, Lutfur Rahman, was re-elected as mayor in what was widely accepted as a rigged election. PWC found that he had personally intervened in grant applications and the award of contracts, overturning officers' recommendations and giving taxpayers' money to organisations that didn't meet the basic criteria to receive grants. They found that in 81% of grants, officers' recommendations were ignored and more than £400k of taxpayers' money was given to ineligible organisations.
Announcing the decision to appoint a chief executive and three commissioners to run the council, Eric Pickles told parliament that Rahman is running Tower Hamlets Council like a "medieval monarch" and accused him of abusing taxpayers' money and sowing division.

Parliament destroys MP expenses paperwork
A committee headed up by Speaker Bercow ruled that the records should be destroyed after 3 years to comply with data protection laws despite employment records being kept until an MP turns 100 and health and safety records being kept for 40 years.
The Data Protection Act says that information must be used for the purpose for which was collected, only necessary information must be collected and kept and information should only be kept for as long as is necessary to carry out the function for which it was collected. The records of expenses claims are collected for the purpose of ensuring that the claims are valid. The Limitations Act prevents legal action from being taken to recover money owed after 6 years for unsecured debt so the information on MPs' expenses should be kept for at least 6 years.
There is nothing in the Data Protection Act that requires paperwork relating to MPs' expenses to be destroyed in anything less than 6 years, this is just a cover-up.
