New Branch: Newcastle/Gateshead

Newcastle/Gateshead Branch is to be launched on Tuesday 14th April at 7pm at the Bridge Hotel Pub, Castle Garth, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 1RQ.

A great evening is in prospect, with much demand already, an expected turn-out is reasonably high. "This is a great opportunity for like-minded people who see the EU as a threat to their daily lives" said John Tennant, the man behind the launch. The evening will include an opportunity for those to put themselves forward as Officers of the Branch, get involved in the campaign and even help out with the day-to-day organisation of the Campaign.

The Bridge Hotel pub is one of very few pubs left that still serve fine real ales, the very kind of dying breed thanks to the commercialisation of the Beer industry and high taxation. UKIP's Save the Pub Campaign could not be more relevant with the launch of a Branch in one of those pubs that are suffering on a daily basis.

In attendance will be John Tennant, UKIP researcher in the European Parliament and No3 NE Candidate, Gordon Parkin No1 Candidate and Stephen Allison N.E Regional Organiser. There has been much communication with keen members in the area and we hope this gives us a positive basis for a potentially thriving Branch of UKIP.
