Strong performance in Romsey by-election
UKIP's Peter Reeve came a close second in the Romsey by-election yesterday, beating Labour and the Lib Dems.
The Tories won the by-election but UKIP was the only real opposition with 31.6% of the vote. The Tories scraped a victory by only 106 votes, the Labour candidate was annihilated with only 4.1% of the vote.
