Disgraced Croydon Tory under investigation of "secret" pay rise

The disgraced former leader of Croydon Conservatives, Cllr Mike Fisher, who resigned from his post in the party after being caught taking a "secret" £11k a year pay rise is to be investigated over the matter.

An independent inquiry headed up the former principal of Ruskin College will investigate whether Cllr Fisher acted improperly in privately approaching officers to secure the backdated pay rise and not making it publicly known.
