Russell Brand says he would die for a communist revolution

Russell Brand seems to be treading a fine line between madness and sanity, declaring that he would be prepared to die for his communist revolution.

Brand turned up to an interview with Financial Times reporter, Lucy Kellaway, in a chauffeur driven Mercedes and told her that he would be prepared to die or go to prison for his revolution and will probably give up his millions. He gripped her arms and legs repeatedly during the interview and when she questioned his politics he told her to shut up. She said that it made her feel uncomfortable.

He angered a lot of Americans after suggesting that 9/11 was an inside job during a Newsnight interview this week before saying that he didn't want to talk about daft conspiracy theories. He also did the arm and leg gripping thing on Newsnight and was so erratic and nonsensical that presenter Evan Davis told him that he was trying to take him seriously.

Brand seems to be trying to reinvent himself as a cross between Che Guevara and Osama Bin Laden and that's quite worrying. Millionaires with a tenuous grip on sanity and an extremist left wing ideology aren't generally remembered for making a positive contribution to society.
