St Albans Conservative councillor assault trial date set

A St Albans Conservative councillor charged with common assault of a council employee has pleaded innocent.

Cllr Salih Gaygusuz was released on conditional bail and will stand trial on December 19th.

A Conservative councillor in St Albans is due in court later this month to answer a charge of common assault.

Cllr Salih Gaygusuz allegedly assaulted the 40 year old manager of St Albans Recycling Centre after an altercation over whether he could dump his garden waste there. Central Herts Magistrates court adjourned a hearing yesterday until the 17th of October.
