Even Dan Hannan is skirting round the fact that the Tories won't do anything if Lisbon is ratified by the next election. I always thought he'd make a great UKIP MEP but I don't think we want dishonest politicians.

The Conservatives are trying to steal UKIPs thunder by sounding tough on Europe.

Dan Hannan has made an excellent speech here, but it does not change the fact that the Tory party leadership are pro-Europe to the core.

It was the Conservative Party in Government that passed most of our sovereighty over to the EU.

The Conservatives talk the talk, but they do no not walk the walk.

The Conservative Party cannot be trusted on the issue of Europe and British sovereighty.

Dan Hannahn,

The EU is not about being governed by 'other people'. Irish people are and always have been at the heart of the EU, including:
-Catherine Day (Sec-Gen of the EC)
-Pat Cox (former President of EU Parl)
-David O'Sullivan (former Sec-Gen of the EC)
-Peter Sutherland (former EU Commissioner)
-Máire Geoghegan-Quinn (European Court of Auditors)

As for not having had time to read it, the bloody thing has been floating around for at least the last 4 years. There is no excuse for ignorance this time around.

Please try to leave the Irish people out of it when you try to placate the UK citizens. Your constitutional and political arrangements are nothing to do with us anymore -thank GOD.

Tarabot, Britain like Ireland are bth part of the EU, that makes it not just the business of Ireland, in fact it makes it the business of 450 million people across the EU member states.

Ireland has had what no other EU member country has had. The right to stop the Treaty. You said NO once by a sizeable majority. Why should you be voting again. Forget the other 26 member states whose citizens would love a vote.

You have Freedom and Democracy for a relatively short time, do you really wish to give it away again to unelected EU Commissioners, that is the question, not who else wants you to say no.

Declan Ganley although it would seem has again joined the NO campaign by his actions is making it clear he is there as a spoiler. His attack on the European of Freedom and Democracy group who want it seems he does, is quite bizarre, unless of course he is upset and his personal humiliation in the European Elections, despite his millions.
