Stockholm terrorist is 39 year old Uzbek known to the police with links to ISIS

The suspect thought to be responsible for yesterday's terrorist attack on a busy street in Stockholm was a 39 year old Uzbek citizen known to police.

Bomb squad officers found a homemade explosive on the hijacked truck used to mow down pedestrians which had failed to detonate during the attack.

The father of 4 was already known to police but was not on their radar recently despite posting extremist material on social media. Investigators have also found ISIS-related material on his laptop and pictures of people injured in the Boston marathon bombing.

Politicians responsible for creating a society where criticising immigration or pointing out the increase in the crime rate with immigration is a criminal offence have been crying crocodile tears over the attack but will do nothing to stem the influx of illegal economic immigration and the violent extremists that are using it to extend their reach into Europe. One estimate based on private research to make up for the misleading and patchy statistics produced by the Swedish government estimates that economic immigration is costing the Swedish government as much as $18.6bn or 20% of its annual budget.

Lorry driven into pedestrians in Stockholm in latest terrorist attack to hit Europe

A hijacked lorry has been driven into pedestrians in Stockholm in the latest terrorist attack to hit Europe.

Sweden has been inundated with illegal immigrants from Africa, the Middle east and Asia. Swedish police have been gagged and the media self-censor to avoid suffering the same fate but in the internet age it's impossible to prevent stories about no-go areas in major cities controlled by immigrant gangs that even the police won't enter and the violent crime (including rape) that is becoming part of daily life in some parts of Sweden.

Today's attack is an escalation of the extremist behaviour of some of the illegal immigrants that have settled in Sweden. At least three people have been killed with many others injured. It appears that two terrorists hijacked a Swedish brewery truck and drove it into the corner of a department store before escaping on foot. There are unconfirmed reports that shots were fired and that the fire alarm in the store went off before the lorry hit it, hinting at a coordinated effort to cause the maximum number of casualties. One suspect was detained by police but they are searching for a man of Middle Eastern appearance wearing a green hoodie.

Germany received more illegal immigrants in 2015 than officials say entered the continent

According to the International Organisation for Migration, just over 1m illegal immigrants came to Europe last year. Of those 1m illegal immigrants, 1.5m went to Germany and 200k went to Sweden. If two countries have taken 170% of the official number of illegal immigrants, either the public are being deliberately misled or those responsible for tracking them are incompetent.

Sweden reinstates border controls with Denmark

Sweden has introduced border controls with Denmark in an attempt to stop illegal immigrants getting into the country.

The Swedes have one of the world's most generous social security systems making it attractive to the hundreds of thousands of illegal economic immigrants traveling from the Middle East, Africa and Asia to take advantage of the welcome given to Syrian refugees.

The new border controls mean that nobody will be able to travel from Denmark to Sweden without producing valid photo ID. Commuters traveling to Sweden by train will be diverted to Copenhagen airport where they will have to go through passport control before catching another train to Sweden.

The Scandinavian countries have historically had very close ties with open borders and other initiatives through the Nordic Council from as early as 1952.

Cameron misses out on chance of Swedish allies for renegotiation con

David Cameron's attempts to hoodwink voters by promising meaningful renegotiation of our relationship with the EU have suffered a setback after Sweden's very europhile coalition government managed to do a deal with the slightly less europhile opposition to avoid an election.

Cameron was hoping that the Social Democrat/Green coalition would collapse, paving the way for a Moderate/Democrat replacement which is much more aligned with the Conservative Party's approach to the EU of making the right noises to appease their membership and voters without actually changing anything and feigning outrage whenever the papers get wind of the EU taking the piss. A Swedish government supporting Cameron's deception would have done wonders for the Conservative Party's flagging prospects in the elections in May.

The EAW will prevent Assange from safely surrendering to Sweden

Julian Assange is expected to make an appearance on the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy shortly to make a statement.  He has said that if Sweden promises not to extradite him to another country then he may surrender himself to stand trial there on what he says are trumped up charges of sexual assault.
I'm not going to pass judgement on Assange although I am inclined to believe that he has been set up by the Americans and that the timing of the sexual assault claims in Sweden is too suspicious to be coincidental.  However, it is important to bear in mind that Sweden is a member of the EU and signatory to the EU Arrest Warrant.  It is because of an EU Arrest Warrant that Assange faces extradition to Sweden and it is because of the EU Arrest Warrant that he would be foolish to surrender himself to the Swedes no matter what promises they give him about not shipping him off to the US.
The EU Arrest Warrant is little more than a technicality, a procedural mechanism for the legalised kidnap of one country's citizens on the basis of an accusation by the police force of another country without the need for any evidence to be presented.  For an EU Arrest Warrant to be considered valid it simply has to have all the relevant boxes filled in and a signature, whether there is any evidence of the crime the subject of the warrant is accused of even being committed, let alone by the accused, isn't a consideration.  Grounds for objection to an EU Arrest Warrant are pretty much restricted to whether the form has been filled out correctly and whether the correct procedures have been followed.
It is for this reason that Assange would be very silly indeed to surrender himself to Sweden even if they promise not to deport him once he's there.  Once in Sweden, if charges are dropped against him or he is found innocent then all it takes is for a US lap dog such as the British government to issue an EU Arrest Warrant themselves and the Swedish government would be obliged to hand him over.  If the Swedish government is conspiring with the UK and US to get Assange to America then this is almost certainly what will happen.
