Tory press attack UKIP donor for supporting satirical website targeting LibLabCon

The Daily Mail and Times are attacking UKIP donor, Aaron Banks, over his support for what they describe as an "offensive" satirical website attacking the LibLabCon parties.

Both newspapers are Tory supporting and have been responsible for a stream of attacks on UKIP since the party started risking their political investments. In the run-up to the local elections this year, briefings that the Conservative Party were sending to these same newspapers attacking UKIP candidates were leaked. The supposedly anti-fascist campaign group Hope not Hate - almost entirely funded by the trades unions - has a blog on their website dedicated to attacking UKIP even though they say that UKIP isn't actually fascist. Fake Facebook and Twitter profiles are still being created masquerading as official UKIP social media accounts and posting inappropriate material which these same newspapers splash all over their front pages. There are anti-UKIP protest groups backed by the Labour Party and the trades unions such as Stand up to UKIP and Still Laughing at UKIP which these newspapers trawl for material for their anti-UKIP campaign.

The Daily Mail and the Times are part of the anti-UKIP campaign. They are too closely involved to be just followers, they are active players in the campaign to protect the status quo. They have invested a lot of time and money buying influence with the Tories and they don't want to see that investment wasted by a party that they have no control over.

The party stresses that it has no links to the LibLabCon website but it is  registered to one of Aaron Banks' companies. Good on him. It's about time UKIPpers took the fight to the LibLabCon and gave them a taste of their own medicine. The national media ignore the stories about LibLabCon perverts, fraudsters, drink drivers, etc. whilst devoting front pages to rumours and gossip about even the most lowly UKIP member. The LibLabCon parties, their taxpayer-funded sockpuppets and poodle media companies have had it their own way for far too long, it's time for UKIP to fight back.

The Establishment Went All Out To Crush UKIP. In Doing So, It Has Surely Destroyed Itself.

Those of us who were always vehemently against the lunacy of a Tory-UKIP pact, or for that matter any other form of pact, can rest easy, for the next ten years at least. The way the entire establishment, and the Tory party in particular, has sought to smear UKIP once again as racists, xenophobes, homophobes and all-around-the-houses-aphobes during the past few weeks has put a nuclear blast-proof shield wall in the way of such a prospect. The vast majority of UKIP members would rather eat their own intestines than enter a pact with the Tories, and probably anyone else for that matter.

When I started writing this blog entry I was tempted to write an entry in the sarcastic 'Agent Cameron' style, so central is this arrogant, bungling fool as a recruiting sergeant to the UKIP cause. It's not as though I am short of material: this week it was revealed that Tory central office entered into a pact with the Guardian - the Guardian, for goodness sake - to feed it anti-UKIP stories as long as the paper didn't reveal the source. It is difficult to know whom of the two will be most embarrassed by this, but Cameron has surely surpassed our wildest expectations by demoralising both Tories and the Liberal Left in the same gesture.

But this is not a time for humour. It is a time for deep and genuine anger at the way not only UKIP but the entire democratic process has been traduced and rubbished by the vicious smears and distortions we had had to endure. You don't have to be even remotely sympathetic to UKIP to be truly revolted to see what our forefathers fought and died for cheapened by a shallow, rent-seeking Political Class which is clearly at the same time both arrogant and terrified.

It is, very slowly, dawning on some  commentators and pundits that something rather big is happening, but they live in denial over how big this could truly get: writing in the Telegraph, Tim Stanley at least acknowledged how utterly loathed the Metropolitan elite is outside of it's London bubble-world, and that UKIP was at the centre of the backlash against it's insufferably smug, arrogant assumptions. However, he then went on to ruin his piece by smirking at UKIP's hankering for another Britain before complacently adding that of course people would fall back into line at the next General Election.

Well, Tim is right on one score, we do hanker for another Britain: one where democracy isn't cheapened and the people aren't treated like annoying peasants by a Political and Media Class wholly divorced from the real world. When questioned about the morality of their concerted smear campaign, they have bleated that "UKIP can expect the same levels of scrutiny as anyone else if it wants to play in the big leagues." But we have not received the same level of scrutiny, we have received a witch-hunt. UKIP's policies have not been scrutinised in any meaningful way by the media as the public has a right to expect. Instead, admittedly distasteful comments by very minor figures in the party, some of them dating back several years, have been dredged up and paraded as evidence of UKIP's institutionalised evil. Meanwhile, 17 members of the LibLabCon parties were arrested on serious charges. What did we hear of this from the mainstream media? ALMOST NOTHING.

As many have noted, none of us have seen anything quite like the past few weeks. The entire political and media classes have shown a united and very ugly face against a single political upstart party that it saw as a threat. Those who thought the expression "LibLabCon" was a hysterical overreaction to the status quo have been given pause for thought. Those who thought naively that the advent of the internet had forced the mainstream media to serve it's readers rather than the needs of rich proprietors have been proved spectacularly wrong. Those who thought we continue to live in a democracy must now accept, however grudgingly, that this is a tenuous assumption at best.

Not just UKIP supporters but the entire British public must be deeply uneasy about the sickness revealed at the heart of our national life. In exposing it's true face to the public, the establishment has surely now destroyed itself.

LibLabCon dirty tricks in the face of UKIP threat

The big question on everyone's lips for next week's elections is just how badly are the LibLabCon parties going to do at the hands of UKIP.

If you want to know how worried they are about the threat from UKIP then you just need to look at their leaflets and the behaviour of their candidates.

All over the country UKIP candidates are reporting LibLabCon leaflets directly targeting UKIP, warning that a vote for UKIP will split the vote and let in another party.  None of them have positive reasons for voting for a LibLabCon party, they just warn about splitting their vote as if they somehow have an automatic right to a certain percentage of the vote.  As most people have finally come to realise from recent council by-elections, a vote for UKIP lets UKIP win.

There is also a "false flag" campaign with activists from other parties creating fake profiles on Facebook pretending to be UKIP members and saying ridiculous things to try and discredit the party and antagonise UKIP supporters.  One Conservative Party activist happily admitted to doing it when he was caught out and said he was "just doing [his] job".  His fake profiles and his own account have since been suspended by Facebook.  There are also reports of some of these activists phoning in to radio talk shows pretending to be UKIP members and doing the same thing.

Peterborough LibLabCon taking councillor allowances

Prospective LibLabCon councillors in Peterborough are being told to give part of their allowances to their parties to help pay for campaigning if they get elected.

Labour are telling candidates they will have to donate 10% of their allowances to their local Labour Party if they are elected, the Tories expect their candidates to give a minimum of £300 per year if elected and the Lib Dems advise their candidates (it's not compulsory but the application form asks if they will so it's obvious which candidates won't be selected) to donate unspecified amounts.

The Peterborough branch of UKIP doesn't ask candidates to agree to donate part of their allowances and its Chairman, Robin Talbot, told Peterborough Today that if councillors don't need all their allowances then they could take less and council tax could be cut.

Vote for a changing future of fairs

The LibLabCon have announced their election slogans for the general election.

The Tories have gone for "Vote for Change", Liebour have gone for "A future fair for all" and the Limp Dims have gone for "Change that works for you. Building a fairer Britain".

It's not just authoritarianism, eurofederalism and economic illiteracy that the LibLabCon have in common, their election slogans are interchangeable as well!

Let's be honest that whether you're Labour, Conservative or Liberal Democrat, you're motivated by pretty much the same progressive aims: a country that is safer, fairer, greener and where opportunity is more equal. It's how to achieve these aims that we disagree about - and indeed between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats there is a lot less disagreement than there used to be.

A startlingly honest assessment from Dave: no matter which one of the LibLabCon coalition you vote for you're going to get the same outcome, it's just the way they screw you over that varies.

PPC's Beware: Another LibLabCon Stitch-up

New rules covering election expenses come into force in January aimed at depriving smaller parties of publicity.

The new rules mean that any activity that would normally have to be declared as an election expense will be backdated six months from the date of an election, even if there was no reasonable expectation of an election in that six month period.  Receipts must be provided and the spending limit for the election will be backdated for the six months.

This benefits the LibLabCon immensely because the only way smaller parties will ever effectively challenge the LibLabCon is with publicity.  The media generally ignores smaller parties in favour of the LibLabCon so smaller parties have to rely on leaflets, newsletters and public meetings to get their name about.  And because smaller parties have proportionately more activists willing to get off their backsides than the LibLabCon, you are much more likely to get a UKIP leaflet through your door than one for the LibLabCon.

The upshot of all this is that a party could go out and deliver 10,000 leaflets and hold a public meeting in January and find that they've spent more than they're allowed for an election campaign and can't stand a candidate.  Without regular leafleting campaigns, smaller parties like UKIP will suffer at the ballot box in a way that the LibLabCon never will because they just don't need the publicity.  The system is deliberately skewed in the favour of the LibLabCon and today's announcement that the BBC, Sky and ITV will hold a "leaders debate" for Comrade Brown, Comrade Camoron and that bloke who leads the Lib Dims* in the run-up to the general election gives the LibLabCon even more of an advantage.

Forcing parties to scale back their campaigning between elections will harm the prospects of everyone but the LibLabCon.  It's a stitch-up.

Tom Wise arrested for fraud

Former UKIP MEP, Tom Wise, and his former researcher have been arrested after the CPS advised Bedfordshire Police to charge them with false accounting and money laundering.

Wise was expelled from UKIP in 2007 after evidence of corruption was revealed and has been an independent ever since but even though he's been an independent MEP for 2 years, the papers are still publishing pictures of him with a UKIP rosette.

Membership of the European Empire isn't the only major difference between UKIP and the dishonest LibLabCon coalition - UKIP kicks crooked politicians out of the party, the LibLabCon coalition promotes them.

Caroline Spelman was Shadow Deputy Prime Minister - a non-job as there is no Deputy Prime Minister - when she was found guilty of expenses fraud and has since been "promoted" to a real job of Shadow Minister for Communities and Local Government.

And then there's Peter Mandelson who has twice resigned from the British government in disgrace and is still mired in sleaze and corruption allegations has not only been promoted back into the Cabinet of all the Talentless, but has even been given a peerage as reward for being as bent as a nine euro note.

Meanwhile, UKIP - the mainstream party that can least afford to lose MEPs - has expelled two MEPs since the last EU elections over fraud allegations. There is, sadly, only one honest party this side of the channel and that's UKIP.
