Polish government tell EU they will ignore ruling on constitutional court

The Polish government have told the EU Commission that they will ignore a ruling that allowing the government to appoint judges to its constitutional court is illegal.
In our dialogue with the European Commission, we have assumed that our cooperation will be based on such principles as objectivism, or respect for sovereignty, subsidiarity, and national identity. However, we have gradually come to realise that interferences into Poland’s internal affairs are not characterised by adherence to such principles. On top of that, such actions are largely based on incorrect assumptions which lead to unwarranted conclusions. So we regret to note that the Commission Recommendation is an expression of incomplete knowledge about how the legal system and the Constitutional Tribunal operate in Poland.
The idea of the government appointing the constitutional court judges who will decide if what the government does is constitutional is something that would seem quite alien in many countries but clearly not in Poland. This sort of fundamental difference of opinion on how a country and its legal system should be run is exactly why the EU is doomed to failure.

Let's put the EU to the back of the queue and get on with Brexit

Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia have threatened to veto any trade deal with the UK that limits the right of their citizens to work in the UK.

More than 80% of our trade is domestic trade and just 8-9% is with the EU. That 8-9% of trade with the EU is subjected to an effective 7% tariff because of the cost of membership compared to just 3% under WTO rules.

Rather than wasting time trying to secure access to the expensive single market, the British government should be putting its efforts into securing new trade deals with countries that want to trade rather than play games. The cheap pound and renewed optimism of the UK being open for business again once we've left the EU has given a welcome boost to the UK's export markets and with the world's biggest and fastest growing economies lining up to negotiate trade deals we need to just put the EU to the back of the queue and face the future on our on terms.

Cameron told AGAIN that he can't restrict benefits for EU immigrants

The leaders of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia have told David Cameron that they will block his futile attempts to stop immigrants claiming benefits until they've paid into the system for four years.

Although curbing immigration still remains one of Cameron's key promises despite spectacularly failing to prevent it rocketing over the last few years, he has dropped it from the list of "demands" for his sham renegotiation. He is instead pathetically trying to discourage people from wanting to move here by making them wait for benefits rather than defy the EU.

Eurosceptic Law & Justice Party win Polish elections

An Ipsos exit poll published shortly after polls closed in Poland at 9pm indicates an overwhelming victory for the eurosceptic Law & Justice Party.

The official results will be announced at the earliest on Tuesday but polls suggest Beata Szydło will become prime minister and command an absolute majority in the Polish Parliament.

The Law & Justice Party is soft eurosceptic, anti-immigration and socially conservative. The Polish president also represents the Law & Justice Party so we are unlikely to see a repeat of events in Portugal which has seen the winning Left Bloc banned from forming a government for being too eurosceptic.

Polish MEP saves EFDD group

The Europe of Freedom & Direct Democracy (EFDD) Group has been saved by Polish MEP, Robert Iwaszkiewicz.

Iwaszkiewicz is a member of the KNP, a right wing conservative libertarian party. The EFDD group are arguing that Iwaszkiewicz joined the group before Iveta Grigule was bribed to leave the group by Martin Schultz so the group was never legitimately disbanded. The powers that be disagree of course and are going to drag out reconstituting the group as long as possible.

Polish MEPs defect to EFD Group in EU Parliament

Four Polish MEPs have resigned from the eurofederalist ECR group that the Tories sit in and joined the EFD group which UKIP formed.

The four MEPs resigned over the ECRs policies on gay marriage, climate change and limiting agricultural expenditure.  They will have more in common with the Lega Nord MEPs than UKIP as UKIP don't oppose gay marriage and think CAP is one of the biggest wastes of money in the EU.

The resignations widen the gap between the ECR group and the far-left European Greens and leaves the EFD group one member short of the sixth largest group, European United Left/Nordic Green Left.

Poland to promote more united Europe during presidency

The rabidly europhile Polish government says its 6 month presidency of the EU will be marked by a vigorous promotion of a more united Europe and an attempt to drum up enthusiasm for the failing political project.

The Poles are loving all the money they're getting from the EU and the right to move away from their relatively poor country and live and work in relatively rich EU countries and as such opinion polls have support for the EU in Poland as high as 80%.  Little wonder when they are a net receiver of EU money (our taxes) and can live and work in the UK (despite the fact we don't have enough jobs and houses to go around the people already living here) and claim benefits for the children they have left at home.

The Polish government will be aided and abetted by the President of the EU Parliament, Jerzy Buzek, who is also a rabidly europhile Pole.

Poles complain about "discriminatory" Dutch immigration plans

The EU's flagship open borders policy is under threat from the Dutch, of all people.

Faced with an unsustainable burden on their welfare system from EU immigrants looking to take advantage of the high standard of living the Dutch enjoy, the Dutch government have produced a policy paper outlining plans to curtail immigration from EU member states and to deport those that make disproportionate welfare claims or commit serious or repeated crimes.

Poland has complained to the EU Commission, calling the Dutch proposals "discriminatory".  There are 150k Poles in the Netherlands.

Poland signs Lisbon

The Polish president, Lech Kaczynski, has signed the EU not-a-constitution leaving only the Czech president, Vaclav Klaus, holding back the European Empire.

Czech Senators have lodged a legal challenge with the Czech constitutional court which should take up to 6 months but the eurofederalist Czech government is promising to fast track the case through the courts. Klaus is now saying that he won't sign the Lisbon Treaty until it is amended to exempt the Czech Republic from the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

It never ceases to amaze me how these Eastern European countries, who fought so hard to free themselves from the old Soviet Republic, are so willing to voluntarily enter into a new one.

It is unlikely that Klaus will be able to hold out intil the next election where the Tories will realistically have no choice but to hold the promised referendum. Whilst the EU not-a-constitution is pretty disasterous for our country, we should at least take heart in the fact that the Tories will be shown for what they are - useless eurofederalists who will do nothing to protect us from the European Empire - and people will flock to UKIP as the only party that will free us from European imperialism.

EU not-a-constitution faces more challenges

The Polish president has re-iterated that he will not sign the Lisbon Treaty unless the Irish vote yes in the second referendum in the autumn.

The German Constitutional Court is also holding an unusually long hearing into whether the EU not-a-constitution breaches the German constitution.

The anti-democrats in the EU are being hit with problem after problem with the EU not-a-constitution but still they battle on, oblivious to the mass opposition throughout the continent. The French voted no and the Dutch voted no so they repackaged the constitution into a new treaty and the treacherous French and Dutch governments ratified it without another referendum. The British government knew that we would vote no so they refused to hold the promised referendum. The Irish voted no so they have to have another referendum to see if they can come up with the "right" answer next time.

Our future as an independent nation lies in the hands of the Irish people, the Polish and Czech presidents and now the German Constitutional Court. And in the upcoming elections people will still vote for the LibLabCon coalition that has got us in this state in the first place.

EU to asset strip Polish shipyards

The Polish shipyard that was a focal point for their struggle against communism is likely to be sold off in a communist-style national asset stripping by the EU.

The EU wants to force the sale of Poland's state owned shipyards which it says aren't entitled to the state aid the Polish government has given them. The money from the sale would have to be used to pay back the state aid rather than used as an incentive to their new owners to modernise the shipyards.

The EU's Competition Commissioner has suggested that the shipyards could be converted to do something else.

How betrayed the Polish people must feel having fought long and hard to throw off the oppression of communism, only to be sold to the socialist dictatorship that is the EU. The picture on the BBC News website (above, right) says it all.
