Denmark's Novo Nordisk investing £115m in UK research facility

The global economic apocalypse predicted by Project Fear has taken a step closer with the devastating news that Danish pharmaceutical giant, Novo Nordisk, is investing £115m over the next 10 years into a diabetes research facility at Oxford.

Up to 100 academics and scientists will have to take up new jobs the firm is creating at its new science centre at Oxford University.

The way things are going with all this investment and job creation following the Brexit vote and the prospect of slashing economic immigration, there's a real danger that there will be nobody left to vote for Labour and that would be just terrible ...

Ryanair introduces 9 new routes from Stansted despite making Project Fear pledge to cut them back

Irish budget airline, Ryanair, has announced 9 new routes flying out of Stansted.

Ryanair joined Project Fear for the EU referendum, threatening to scale back its UK operations if we voted for Brexit. In fact, a month after the referendum Ryanair said it would be concentrating on growing operations in the EU at the expense of the UK. They said that this winter they would "cut capacity and frequency on many London Stansted routes".

Nick Clegg admits he lied about the Queen supporting Brexit

Nick Clegg has admitted lying about the Queen's criticism of the EU in the run-up to the referendum.

The Sun ran a story during the referendum campaign saying that the Queen had expressed support for Brexit in a meeting with Nick Clegg when he was Deputy Prime Minister. She reportedly complained that the EU had overshadowed the Commonwealth and didn't know why we couldn't just leave.

Clegg initially said he couldn't remember if it was true but then changed his mind overnight and categorically denied the claim, describing it as nonsense and "A-grade, 24-carat bilge". The Palace even made a complaint to IPSO who said that the Sun shouldn't have used the headline they did but didn't rule that the story was inaccurate. BBC political editor, Laura Kuenssberg, backed up the story after the referendum.

Now Clegg has admitted to the New Statesman that the Queen did, in fact, get "grumpy" about the EU and regretted the way the EU was eclipsing the Commonwealth. This is the second time he's changed his mind and the Lib Dems are still in damage limitation mode, denying that Clegg referred to the queen as grumpy.

Fake news: Guardian blames Dutch woman's visa mistake on Brexit

The Guardian have blamed a Dutch woman refused a residency permit after failing to provide valid evidence of her right to be in the UK on Brexit.

Monique Hawkins - a Dutch passport holder - has lived in the UK for 24 years, is married to a UK citizen and has two children who are British citizens. She was taken in by the ludicrous scare stories put out by Project Fear (the Guardian included) and fearing for her future right to live in the UK, she applied for a residency permit so that she could then apply for citizenship.

But when she sent the forms off to the Home Office she failed to enclose her original passport as evidence that she was living in the UK legally so her application was rejected and she was told she would have to leave the country. Rather than accept that she had made a mistake and the Home Office had followed the rules absolutely correctly, she went to the Guardian who published yet another scare story warning EU citizens that they faced being deported just like Hawkins.

All she had to do was provide the Home Office with her Dutch passport to show that she has a legal right to live here but instead she provided a solicitor-certified copy which - as the solicitor should have been aware - is not acceptable. In fact, it is the first thing on the list of documents you must provide on the Home Office's website.

The Home Office have now fast-tracked her application and provided her with a residency permit but she's still not happy. She has told the Guardian that she believes it is unlawful for the Home Office to hold on to applicants' passports for up to 6 months whilst their applications are processed because it infringes on their right to freedom of movement so expect another Remoaner legal case soon trying to water down Brexit before it's even started.

The Guardian has been pontificating about fake news since it became fashionable at the end of last year but just like their crusade against tax avoiders they run from their tax dodging Cayman Islands trust-owned offices in London it is a cynical and hypocritical campaign that doesn't extend to themselves. The only link to Brexit in this story is that Hawkins decided to apply for the residence permit because of the Brexit vote. If she had decided to apply because she needed it to work the headline wouldn't be "Job application: Dutch woman who was told to leave UK now allowed to stay". If she had decided to apply because after living and raising a family here for 24 years she felt British the headline wouldn't be "British identity: Dutch woman who was told to leave UK now allowed to stay".

This is a perfect example of the fake news that is causing fear and division in this country and once again it is the Guardian and Project Fear who are behind it.

Banks deny claims they are planning to move out of the UK

Several banks have denied claims made yesterday by Remain campaigner and head of the British Bankers Association, Anthony Browne, that they were planning to start moving operations out of the UK before Christmas.

Browne claimed yesterday that smaller banks were planning to relocate before Christmas whilst larger banks would be moving early in the new year. But those same banks have rubbished his claims with one of them calling it "nonsense" and another saying "Brexit is a bit of a non-issue for us".

Anthony Browne used to write used to work for the BBC and Telegraph - both Remain-supporting - before joining Morgan Stanley which was itself part of Project Fear.

Latest unemployment figures prove Project Fear wrong AGAIN

Figures out today show that unemployment is down, the number of people out of work and not looking for work is down and the percentage of working age people in work is at a record high since records began in 1971.

Project Fear told us that the economy would tank if we voted to the leave the EU, that millions of jobs would be lost and that companies would abandon the UK in droves. Instead, we see fewer people out of work, companies making big investments in the UK and investors putting their faith in our future prosperity.

If things are going this well during a period of economic instability and political uncertainty caused by David Cameron's refusal to plan for Brexit then just imagine what it's going to be like when there's an actual plan and some firm answers on our relationship with the EU and the rest of the world.

Two more multi-millionaires living abroad say we should stay in the EU

The mad cows at the BSE campaign have rolled out their latest intellectual heavyweights to add to their argument for staying in the EU - the Beckhams.

David and Victoria Beckham - worth £430m and living in Los Angeles - say they are "passionate" about the UK staying in the EU. But not passionate enough to live here, of course.

The Beckhams haven't always been pro-EU though. Back in the 90s when they were still actually living here and weren't quite so insulated from the insanity of life in the United States of Europe, Victoria Beckham said that "euro bureaucrats are destroying every bit of national identity and individuality".

Project Fear make it personal

Project Fear are spending the last few days of campaigning making things personal, appealing to voters not to support Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson or the Tories or UKIP or "right wingers" or "millionaires". They seem to be forgetting that this is a referendum, not an election.

This referendum is to decide whether we leave the EU or not. It's not to decide who is in government, who the prime minister is, whether money gets spent on the NHS, etc. To continue implying that it is with misleading headlines in the press is dishonest and reeks of desperation.

One of the favourite tactics of the Remainiacs at the moment is to try and undermine Vote Leave's argument that the millions we spend on the EU could go into the NHS instead. The Remainiacs tell voters that you can't trust the Tories with the NHS and you can't trust UKIP with the NHS and repeat the lie that Nigel Farage wants to privatise the NHS (UKIP was the only party with a costed plan for increasing NHS spending in the last election but that's not really important) and say you can't trust these people to invest in the NHS. The referendum won't put or keep any of those people in power or whether the money goes to the NHS, it's about leaving the EU.

The Remainiacs are constantly making personal attacks on the Leave campaign, saying they have no plans for where the money we save is going to spent and can't guarantee that it'll be spent on the NHS or supporting our elderly and homeless. Of course they don't have such plans and can't make these guarantees because the referendum is to decide whether we leave the EU, not what the government does. It will be down to the British government to decide where the billions we save will be spent, not the Leave campaign.

On Thursday we will vote on the simple question of whether we want to remain in the EU or leave the EU. David Cameron will no longer be prime minister regardless of the result, George Osborne will no longer be Chancellor. The fact that they will be gone is a bonus but has no bearing on how people vote. It's not an election, we're not choosing a prime minister or who forms a government, we're just deciding on whether or not we leave the EU. Baroness Warsi hasn't "defected", she's never been a Leave campaigner

The pro-EU press are claiming Baroness Warsi has "defected" from the Leave campaign to Remain.

Baroness Warsi has not been part of the Leave campaign, refused to get involved with the Remain campaign when invited to and has not campaigned for Leave in any capacity. She has merely made her intention to campaign to stay in the EU public.

President of EU-funded university warns EU citizens won't be able to afford his courses when he doubles their fees

The president of University College London (UCL) has joined Project Fear, claiming that UK universities could lose tens of millions of pounds when we leave the EU.

Professor Arthur's logic takes a bit of getting your head round so pay attention.

Universities in the UK have lots of students from the EU and EU law requires universities to treat them as if they were UK citizens. That means that in England they only have to pay the £9k university tax, £6k in Northern Ireland, £3k in Wales and nothing in Scotland rather that the international rate. It also means they have to have the same access to grants and loans. Professor Arthur says that when we leave the EU EU students might not be able to afford the international rates which can be as high as £32k a year at his university.

There are a few flaws in Professor Arthur's logic.

Whilst the university tax is limited by law for UK and EU citizens, universities are free to charge whatever they want to other international students. Here's the big flaw in his logic. If his university wants to carry on charging EU citizens £9k a year after we leave the EU they're perfectly entitled to do that. There's nothing forcing them to charge EU citizens more than they charge an English student.

In Scotland, where the taxpayer foots the bill for any Scottish or EU citizen, only 60% of students are Scots. There are thousands of EU citizens studying for free in Scottish universities, every one of them costing the taxpayers tens of thousands of pounds.

EU citizens have also failed to repay £43m of taxpayer-funded loans given to them to pay the university tax by disappearing back home when they've finished studying. However, if Professor Arthur's university or any other university in the UK wants to offer loans to EU citizens so they can afford to study at their university then there is absolutely nothing stopping them doing that. They won't have the bank of the taxpayer to subsidise them when their students do a bunk but if they're that valuable it's surely a price worth paying.

UCL have received over 100 EU Research Council grants and has participated in over 650 EU-funded projects, totalling tens of millions of pounds.

EU-funded OECD base scare stories on the number of articles in the Times

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) have warned of "a large negative shock" when we leave the EU which could see GDP decrease 5% lower by 2030 compared to what it could have been if we stayed in the EU.

The Remainiacs and the media are pretending could means would and warning that the OECD says we're going to be 5% poorer when we leave the EU. They've already tried this trick with the Treasury's dodgy dossier which divided their predicted worst case decline in GDP by the number of households in the UK and then tried to pass that figure off as a predicted decline in household income.

But the OECD's report seems to be basing this on a continuing trend of declining investor confidence in economic policy based on articles published in the Times and Financial Times, both of which are still officially on the fence with regard to the referendum. This is a particularly narrow view to stake their reputation on when investor confidence is being driven down deliberately by Project Fear to influence public opinion whereas after the referendum the British government will be talking up our prospects to try and undo the damage they've done. It's hardly surprising that investors are getting jittery when the British government has been pushing out negative messages for months.

Entirely unrelated to the OECD's campaigning for Project Fear, the OECD has received £23,198,670 funding from the EU over the last nine years.

Treasury fails to predict any major economic event but wants us to believe it can predict a post-Brexit recession

Project Fear says food prices will increase by 60p when we leave the EU

David Cameron and Harriet Harperson went to a specially evacuated Asda where they wouldn't have to meet any plebs at the weekend to tell the media that when we leave the EU the average food bill for a family of four could rise by 60p a day.

The Treasury have used the same models that have failed to predict any of the financial crises that have befallen us in the last decade to predict a worst case 12% devaluation of the pound and then, ignoring the fact that being in the EU inflates food prices, estimated that a 12% weaker pound would increase the cost of imported food in real terms by £220 per year for a family of four.

There are several things wrong with Project Fear's latest dodgy prediction. Firstly, it assumes that food prices will stay as they are rather than reducing when we leave the EU even though it is commonly accepted that the EU pushes up food prices. It also assumes that devaluation of the pound is a bad thing when a strong pound harms exports and makes it harder to sell what we produce. Devaluation of the pound would boost the manufacturing sector and help reduce our trade deficit and bring down inflation. Finally, the financial models that the Treasury uses have failed to predict any of the financial crises that we have faced over the last decade. They are completely untrustworthy and open to manipulation by Project Fear.

The truth is, food is more expensive because of our EU membership. There is so much red tape and technology involved to comply with EU regulations that our food bills are inflated by as much as 17% thanks to the Common Agricultural Policy alone.

As well as the cost of the CAP, the EU imposes a 54% tariff on dairy products imported from outside the EU, 30% on sugar, sweets and chocolate and 10% on fruit and veg. That's a tax just to get something into the EU before import duties are applied and then VAT charged on top when it's eventually sold to the consumer. As an example, if you imported 1kg of butter from outside the EU for £1 you would have to charge a consumer £2.01 for it just to cover the tax. Dairy products attract a 54% EU tariff, then there's a 12.8% import duty and then 20% VAT added on top when it's sold. To import 100 litres of milk from outside the EU at the GB dairygate average cost of £23.18 you would have to pay the EU's 54% tariff bringing it up to £35.70 and then add on £15 in import duty, bringing the price up to £50.70. That's 50.7p per litre just to buy the milk and pay the taxes without putting it in a bottle, refrigerating it or taking it somewhere to be sold.

Rather than putting food prices up, leaving the EU is likely to bring food prices down or worst case, make no difference whatsoever.

Shameless Cameron claims that leaving the EU will cause world war three

Project Fear went into overdrive today with David Cameron making the bizarre claim that by leaving the EU we will cause world war three and genocide!

Throughout the EU referendum campaign Project Fear have been claiming that the UK is so small and insignificant that we won't have any influence on the world stage once we've left the EU yet now we're apparently so important that leaving the UK leaving the EU will result in a world war.

Cameron shamefully invoked images of rows and rows of white gravestones marking the graves of millions of British and Commonwealth men and women who gave their lives fighting to stop the last attempt to create a United States of Europe to claim that it would be dangerous to leave the EU. This marks a new low for Project Fear and shows that nothing - not even belittling the sacrifice our forebears made to fight off the very thing he is helping to create - is out of bounds for this bunch of disrespectful snake oil salesmen.

Bizarrely, after repeating the myth that the EU has been responsible for peace decades of peace he said that it was barely two decades since the civil war in Bosnia - the scene of the only genocide in Europe since the second world war, perpetrated under the watchful eye of EU peacekeepers.

Back in 2011 we compiled a list of wars and conflicts in Europe in the 50 years that the Nobel Committee insultingly awarded the EU the Nobel Peace Prize for creating 50 years of peace.

Fifty years ago was 1961, two years after the Basque separatists started a civil war in Spain and France. In 1968, the USSR invaded Czechoslovakia and the IRA started a civil war in Northern Ireland. In 1970 various far left groups started a civil war in Italy and in 1974 Turkey invaded northern Cyprus. In 1984 the PKK started a civil war in Turkey and in 1988 Armenia and Azerbaijan went to war over Nagorno-Karabakh. In 1989 Romania underwent a revolution and in 1991 Slovenia went to war with Yugoslavia for its independence. In 1991, rebels in South Ossetia and Abkhazia started a civil war in Georgia and Croatia went to war with Yugoslavia for its independence. In 1992, ethnic Moldovans started a civil war in Transnistria, there was ethnic cleansing in North Ossetia, civil war in Abkhazia and the start of the war in Bosnia. In 1994, civil war started in Chechnya for the first time. In 1998 there was civil war in Kosovo, the Real IRA started terrorism again in Northern Ireland and civil war broke out in Abkhazia again. In 1999, Chechnyan separatists invaded Dagestan, the second civil war started in Chechnya and there was another uprising in Yugoslavia. In 2001 there was civil war in Macedonia. In 2004 there was more fighting in Kosovo. In 2007 there was civil war in Ingushetia and in 2008 there was a second war in South Ossetia with a Russian invasion.

The five years since the EU was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize peace have been far from peaceful. Russia invaded and then annexed Crimea after the EU supported a coup against the pro-Russian president of Ukraine in 2014-15. There have also been a number of terrorist attacks in Germany, France, Bulgaria, Belgium and Denmark committed by a variety of Islamic terrorist organisations made possible by the lack of border controls within the EU and the stupidity of throwing the doors open to millions of people from terrorist hotspots in the Middle East and Africa.

Membership of the EU has made us less safe. We can't deport criminals and terrorists and we can't stop them coming here in the first place. Our courts are hamstrung by EU human rights legislation that gives so much privilege to criminals that it's virtually impossible to protect the population. Meanwhile, the EU Arrest Warrant allows UK citizens to be handed over to foreign police services with no evidence required, the EU wants to take over the coastguard and incorporate it into an EU border force and they have a blueprint for an EU army which will take effect after our referendum.

The safe choice is to leave the EU.

Project Fear caught out again as US announces new joint intelligence analysis centre in Northamptonshire

The US government have decided to base their new £200m joint intelligence analysis centre covering Europe and Africa in Northamptonshire.

This decision just three months ahead of the EU referendum and a month before Obama comes to Europe to do his bit for Project Fear seriously undermines the scaremongering by the mad cows at the BSE campaign that we will be abandoned by our allies in the intelligence community when we leave the EU.

The EU already has 18 partnerships with non-EU intelligence agencies and the UK would naturally become the 19th. Our intelligence services are one of the most capable and effective operations in the world and not signing up to an intelligence sharing deal with us would make the EU a much more dangerous place, especially when they are knowingly importing thousands of terrorists masquerading as refugees.

RAF Croughton already hosts 422nd Air Base Group which handles a third of US military communications in Europe and the US military, NATO and the Ministry of Defence.

Obama coming to Europe to campaign for Project Fear

Barack Obama is planning to use a visit to Europe to campaign for the UK to remain in the EU.

The US president is coming to the end of his second term and isn't allowed to stand again according to the US constitution so has plenty of time on his hands for interfering in other peoples' business.

There are a number of reasons why Obama is keen for the UK to stay in the EU, primary of which are the devastating effect the EU has on the UK economy, fear of a Commonwealth Free Trade Area and the value of UK public services in the TTIP agreement being drawn up in secret between the US and EU.

Membership of the EU suppresses the UK economy and prevents us from rising up the league table and challenging the US at a time when it is under pressure from China and other fast growing economies such as India and Brazil. The reams of red tape originating from the EU and burden of over-regulation harms our competitiveness and keeps us in our place. Leapfrogging France last year was more of a reflection on France than the UK.

A Commonwealth Free Trade Area would include India, Canada and Australia - three major and growing economies in the top 12 economies in the world. Combined with the UK those four economies are worth well over $8tn - almost as much as China. The combined value of Commonwealth economies is over $11tn which is larger than the Chinese economy and is second only to the US.

The TTIP treaty being concluded in secret by the EU and the US will give American companies access to markets in the EU and open up the public sector to private ownership. American companies will be allowed to sue governments that don't allow them to privatise parts of public sector services such as the NHS or introduce measures that harm their profits. TTIP is tipped well and truly in America's favour and Obama is desperate to keep it on track.

Department of Health threaten Vote Leave over use of NHS logo

Vote Leave have been threatened with legal action for using the NHS logo on leaflets about the NHS.

The leaflets argue that when we leave the EU, the money we save can be used on services like the NHS. The Department of Health doesn't think that a leaflet about the NHS should use the NHS logo but doesn't seem to explain why. It's not like the NHS is a profit-making organisation or one that needs to protect a reputation to ensure it doesn't lose customers. Using the NHS logo in a leaflet about the NHS is clearly fair use and the Department of Health's legal threats are just part of the British government's campaign to try and undermine the leave campaign.
