Men and women segregated at Labour meeting in Oldham

Pictures of a Labour Party campaign meeting organised by Labour Friends of Bangladesh in Oldham show the women and men clearly segregated.

The pictures were shared on Twitter by Labour MP Debbie Abrahams and immediately drew criticism with UKIP's candidate, John Bickley, who said:

How can it be acceptable in modern Britain that a political party that wishes to represent all the people, and in particular the various communities of Oldham, thinks that it's ok to segregate by gender?

This isn't a one-off either. Earlier this year man-hating female supremacist Harriet Harman defended a segregated Labour event in Birmingham saying it was better to have a segregated meeting than a men-only one.

Sexist Labour MP laughs at call for debate on men's health

Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley, Jess Phillips, laughed out loud in a parliamentary committee at the suggestion International Men's Day (19th November) should be commemorated in parliament with a debate on men's issues.

Conservative MP, Philip Davies, who proposed the debate highlighted the high rate of suicide in men, lower achievement of boys in school, shorter life expectancy for men, father-child relationship problems, violence against men and under-reported men's health issues as subject to be debated. Phillips dismissed these very real problems, telling him that "every day feels like international men's day" and he can have his debate "when women in these buildings have parity".

Jess Phillips' attitude is frankly disgusting and it's a shame she has been able to deflect attention away from her comments with the equally disgusting hate messages she has received from people quite justifiably offended by her indifference to the very real problems unique to the largest minority in the country. Let's hope Jess Phillips' views aren't representative of the Labour Party as a whole and the reset of her colleagues get behind a cross party debate on men's issues.

Bahar Mustafa charged with malicious communications

A student union "diversity officer" who tweeted #killallwhitemen and calls white people "white trash" has been summonsed to appear before Bromley Magistrates Court to answer charges of disseminating racially motivated malicious communications.

Bahar Mustafa was the student union diversity officer at Goldsmiths University when she achieved infamy for banning white men and straight people from university diversity workshops, used the phrase "white trash" to describe white people and the hashtag #killallwhitemen on social media. A petition was launched to have her sacked which was signed by more than 21,000 people but Goldsmiths let her keep her job.

Mustafa has been charged with sending a letter, communication or article conveying a threatening message and sending by public communication network an offensive, indecent, obscene, menacing message or matter between November 10th, 2014, and May 31st this year. She claims that she can't be racist because she's an ethnic minority woman.

Mustafa graduated with an MA in gender and media studies which probably goes some way to explaining why Goldsmiths is a relatively lowly 50th in the UK universities league table if an out and out racist, sexist and heterophobe can get a masters in gender studies.

Racist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown says "we don't need another white man at the head of a political party"

The Labour leadership campaign has descended even further into farce with self-confessed racist, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, chiming in to say that although she likes Jeremy Corbyn "we don't need another white man at the head of a political party".

In an article for the far left Independent, Alibhai-Brown says that we don't want another white man in power and if she had a vote, she'd vote for Yvette Cooper. Not because of what she stands for but because she's a woman which is a far better qualification for a position of power than being capable of doing the job.

She has a cheap dig at UKIP of course but it's a bit half hearted. Apparently UKIP cleverly exploit class identification. She doesn't explain what this constitutes, how UKIP exploits it or why (or even if) this is a bad thing but we're guilty of something that she possibly disapproves of (again, it's not clear if she's saying it's a bad thing).

If a white man had said "we don't need a black or Asian woman at the head of a political party" they would be vilified in the press, not given a column to write their racist, sexist drivel.

Racist, sexist, heterophobic "diversity officer" keeps her job

Despite over 21k people signing a change.org petition to have her removed from office, Goldsmiths University student union are keeping their racist, sexist, heterophobic diversity officer in post.

Conservative councillor faces deselection over racist and sexist jokes

A Conservative councillor on Hinkley & Bosworth Borough Council is facing deselection after sending "funny" emails with racist and sexist jokes to colleagues.

Cllr Peter Batty was forced to resign as leader of the Conservative group on the council last month and now faces deselection by Charnwood Conservative Association.

A Conservative councillor in Leicestershire has been forced to apologise for emailing racist and sexist jokes to colleagues.

Cllr Peter Batty, a Hinckley & Bosworth borough and Groby parish councillor, forwarded "funny" emails about Indian taxi drivers, Jews and Irish people to his colleagues. One of the emails contained the word "nigger". Cllr Batty is leader of the Conservative group on the borough council.

Independent Powys councillor, Myfanwy Alexander, resigned as deputy leader of the council after using the same word in a council meeting. Cllr Batty should take a leaf out of her book and do the honourable thing.
