Just 20 anti-UKIP "protesters" bothered to turn up to the UKIP conference in Doncaster this weekend. The Labour-supporting Mirror newspaper asked the "protesters" why they were there and even helpfully took some paper and a marker pen so the "protesters" could write signs for the photoshoot.
Only one of the "protesters" admitted their political affiliation and the Mirror failed to point out that the whole thing was staged by trade unions, despite the big Unison banner and the "protesters" wearing t-shirts for trade union front organisations.
The first member of the "hardcore band" featured on the Mirror website is Dave Banks who describes his job as "I do car boots". Dave is actually the sales manager for Studio Bentley and a Trade Unions & Socialists Against Cuts Party (TUSC) activist. Dave was part of TUSC candidate, Mev Akram's campaign team during this year's election.
And on the subject of Mev Akram, she was the only member of the "hardcore band" who admitted to being a TUSC candidate. She teaches "skills for life" at the Northern Racing College and describes UKIP as "racist filth". Comrade Mev told potential voters that the TUSC gets all its funding from "people like me and you" but according to the Electoral Commission they accepted £81,000 in cash donations from the Socialist Party and the Socialist Alliance, both of which receive all their funding for one or two wealthy individuals.
Tim Jones also appears on the list. He gives his job as "mental health campaigner" and says that UKIP are "not welcome in Doncaster" and that "racists devides[sic] humanity". Tim is a member of the Sheffield Socialist Party and the TUSC Party which he was a candidate for in this year's local elections.
Jane Sharp says she's "unemployed due to disability" but according to her Facebook profile she's on a Workfare placement at Phoenix Enterprises, a not-for-profit company that aims to increase employability of people who lack useful skills. She is also a member of the Socialist Workers Party and hopes somebody punches Katie Hopkins in the face.
Stephen Porter only appears to be bothered about UKIP challenging the Labour Party in Doncaster. A bit strange as he's a member of rival left wing party, Yorkshire First. He is a member of the trade union sockpuppet, Hope not Hate and supports the EU In Campaign. He told the Mirror that he's a chef but according to his Facebook profile he's just a kitchen assistant at the Earl of Doncaster Hotel. He thinks that newspapers printing biased stories should be illegal but thinks buying pirate DVDs off his mates for a quid is fine.
Ann Bayley describes herself as a "home educator to [her] 7 children". She omitted to mention that she was also a TUSC Party candidate in the local elections. She came last.
Zak Cochrane is a member of Love Music Hate Racism, Rock Against Racism, Stand up to UKIP (described as "a leading activist") and Stand up to Racism - all trade union sponsored organisations. Love Music Hate Racism is run by a convicted criminal who was accused of raping a 14 year old girl. He's also a member of the left wing black supremacist think tank, Institute for Race Relations and a Marxist revolutionary. He goes into schools and colleges to tell children that UKIP is fascist which is, of course, illegal propaganda.
Lani Ball is a Peace & Development Studies student at Leeds Beckett, a Labour Party activist and a member of trade union sockpuppet, Hope not Hate, which is paid by the unions to attack UKIP to try and combat the party's threat to the Labour Party.
The other 11 "protesters" aren't named by the Mirror but all of those who are have strong links to political parties and trade unions. In the group shot you can see a large Unison banner behind these trade unionist political activists.
The Mirror is running a poll on the article asking if UKIP is racist. They must be disappointed that the majority of people have answered no despite the link being shared around left wing extremist groups on social media.

Mirror invents racism to attack UKIP candidate
The Mirror is scraping the bottom of the barrel with its latest attack on UKIP.
Apparently "Nigel Farage has been dragged into another race row" because UKIP PPC, Nathan Garbutt, commented on a picture of a hippo chasing a man on Facebook 6 months ago which someone had said was Gemma Collins chasing Tinchy Strider (a reference to I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here which ther were both in at the time) saying he hoped Collins didn't think Stryder was a Freddo chocolate bar.
It would appear that it is now unacceptable to refer to a black person and a chocolate bar in the sentence, regardless of context because it's automatically racist. It doesn't matter that a Freddo is a miniature chocolate bar and that Tinchy Stryder is only 5ft 5" or that Gemma Collins is a big lady who spent her whole time in the jungle complaining about being hungry, chocolate is brown and Tinchy Stryder has brown skin therefore it must be a reference to the colour of his skin and racist.
After wheeling out a few politicians to say how awful and racist UKIP are, Nathan Garbutt's explanation comes right at the bottom of the article, sandwiched between a picture of Gemma Collins and a video of Michael Burke rapping:

It was harmless fun. It was aimed at Gemma being hungry. So ... not racist at all then? While people like the gutter press journalists at the Mirror continue to see a difference between white and black people and find offence on their behalf at any innocent comment involving a black person, racism will always be a problem. Tinchy Styder isn't a black man, he's just a man and the Mirror should be ashamed of themselves for using the colour of his skin to try and score political points.
She was a larger girl and most of the time she was talking about how hungry she was and how much she could eat and that’s where it came from.

Survation predicts 16 seats for UKIP
UKIP could win 16 seats in May according to a Survation poll for the Mirror.
The poll puts the Conservatives on 31%, Labour on 30% and UKIP on 23%. The Lib Dems lead the minor parties on 7%, the SNP are on 5% and the Greens are on 3%.
Despite polling less than a third of UKIP's projected share of the vote, the analysis suggests that the Lib Dems would win 27 seats compared to 16. The first past the post system really should have been thrown out by now and replaced with a system that reflects how people actually vote.
The seats they predict turning purple are:

Daily Mirror ramps up its smearfest against UKIP
In the Mirror today a poor and shoddy journalist by the name of Jack Blanchard has run a story entitled:
In this article, he is claiming he has got hold of leaked minutes which state Nigel is in a panic and other manure of that nature.
Well, I am so sorry to have to tell you Labour/Lib/Con/Green types
UKIP and Nigel Farage publicly disowned that manifesto from 2010 last year (20140 claiming it was rubbish and not fit for purpose.
Whoever is your supposed leak needs to get a life and stop with the sour grapes after being either expelled or deselected for not passing the stringent tests our candidates have to take to stand for UKIP
Another poor journalistic piece from a Left-leaning rag whose poor and shoddy journalists are digging through piles of manure and bull faeces for any story they can use to TRY and smear UKIP.
Sorry chaps, it is not working.
Nigel Farage admits Ukip is NOT a credible party and has not been honest with voters
In this article, he is claiming he has got hold of leaked minutes which state Nigel is in a panic and other manure of that nature.
Here is a couple of excerpts:
He told UKIP chums the party had a “problem” due to a raft of unaffordable pledges including tax cuts, and extra cash for police.
“We are not passing the credibility test as a party,” said Mr Farage, who has repeatedly claimed UKIP is always honest with voters.
UKIP deputy chairman Neil Hamilton – the disgraced ex-Tory MP – warned colleagues:
“This is the last time we can get away with this.
"We can say anything on the doorstep. “But on television we will have some pretty searching questions to answer.”
At the meeting, in April 2013, a panicking Mr Farage agreed voters are starting to see through UKIP’s endless unfunded promises.
Then went on to state:
The minutes state: “NF (Nigel Farage) thinks we cannot talk about council tax cuts and spending more on policing etc all at the same time.
“We are setting ourselves up for a fall.“His problem is that we are promising the earth to everybody.”The minutes go on: “NF feels we are not passing the credibility test as a party."UKIP claimed it had “taken on board” Mr Farage’s warnings and changed its ways.Labour MP Sarah Champion said the damaging leak lays bare the truth behind UKIP’s public charade.“This is absolutely typical of UKIP politicians who say one thing on the telly but have entirely different views in private,” she blasted.
Well, I am so sorry to have to tell you Labour/Lib/Con/Green types

First Mirror attack of the year fails
Every few days the Mirror puts a mock outrage story about UKIP on its website with comments disabled so nobody can correct their biased reporting and a poll asking who readers intend to vote for.
No matter how much mud the Mirror try and sling, no matter how much they lie and mislead in their articles, every poll says UKIP. It's quite amusing to see the leading left wing gutter press tabloid try and fail over and over again to dampen support for UKIP amongst traditional Labour voters.
The latest failed attempt to criticise UKIP is the startling revelation that a hedge fund manager gave £32k to the party this year. That's less than 2.3% of the £1.4m UKIP got in donations this year and hardly big news considering Crispin Odey also donated to UKIP last year.
The Mirror's angle is that Odey still owns 5% of shares in Sports Direct which employs people on zero hour contracts which Nigel Farage said are "just not on". Odey might own 5% of Sports Direct shares but he's not even on the board of directors - what would the Mirror have him do? Sell his £2.3m investment because the left wing media have a flash in the pan fixation with zero hour contracts? Zero hour contracts that Labour MPs have used to employ 61 people, incidentally.
The Mirror goes on to report that "former City trader" Farage (he sold metal on the futures markets, he has never been a banker) said in an "internal report" - presumably the National Executive Committee minutes that have been leaked to the press recently - that taking trade stands is a tax efficient way of raising money for the party. It then goes on say that this is despite Farage saying that rich people and successful companies evading tax are "the enemy". Here they are relying on their readers not understanding the difference between tax avoidance which is the perfectly legal act of not paying tax the law says you don't owe and tax evasion which is illegally paying tax the law says you have to pay, The Labour Party and left wing media - the Mirror included - have tried to conflate the two because it means they can go after the hated capitalist pig dogs operating within the law as well as those that aren't.

Most Mirror readers want Nigel Farage as Prime Minister
The Mirror ran one of their usual articles slagging off Nigel Farage and UKIP following an appearance on Have I Got News For You but got more than they bargained for when they attached a poll to the article asking readers who they would rather have as the next Prime Minister.
Even the readership of the Labour-supporting Mirror want Nigel Farage running the country, with only 15% wanting Ed Miliband, 6% wanting David Cameron and a measly 1% for Nick Clegg. As many people (21%) wanted someone else as Ed Miliband and David Cameron combined.

Smeargate steps up a gear
The anti-UKIP smear campaign being run by the press shows no sign of letting up with both Nikki Sinclaire and Mike Nattrass being drafted in to help with the personal attacks on Nigel Farage.
They also repeat the claim by Nikki Sinclaire - another former UKIP MEP with a grudge - that Farage has been sleeping with Annabelle Fuller, his former assistant. This story has been put about for years and repeatedly denied but Sinclaire brought it up again publicly in the EU parliament where she can claim parliamentary privilege from the safety of the belly of the beast.
What Sinclaire, Nattrass and the journalists writing this crap are all forgetting is that whilst it might benefit their careers to sling mud at Farage, he has a wife and children. Their politically motivated smears aren't just attacking him, they're causing distress to him and his children as well and of course poor Anabelle is being hounded by the press yet again asking the same questions she's been getting for the best part of a decade.
Nikki Sinclaire and Mike Nattrass are only interested in trying to keep their seats in the EU parliament and don't care who they hurt in the process but the papers have already been rapped on the knuckles over this sort of thing by the Leveson Inquiry and should know better. Politically motivated attacks are to be expected but when innocent partners and children are brought into it, that's a step too far.
Yesterday's Mirror quotes Nattrass - who left the party after failing to be reselected for the EU elections and losing a legal challenge to the decision - claiming that Nigel Farage was given a bottle of 7-Up as a prize for having sex with a 25 year old Latvian woman 7 times in one night. That would be a pretty impressive achievement for anyone, let alone a middle-aged chain smoking heavy drinker. It's a ridiculous story and a decent journalist would have seen it as such straight away.

Smearfest part 2
The Times isn't being allowed to build itself a monopoly on making up stories to smear UKIP, the Mirror is determined to get in on the act as well.
Then there's this little gem from the Times (yes, another one) in which we're told that sex-obsessed UKIP staff walk around the party's London offices half naked, take pets to work and make lists of women they'd like to have sex with before knocking off early to go to the pub. This has come as news to UKIP staffers on Facebook who are presumably disappointed that this sort of hedonistic behaviour apparently only happens when they're at the coffee machine or on their lunch break.
The idea that UKIP staff would somehow gets their pets from home to the offices in central London on public transport is frankly ridiculous, the idea that they walk around the office half naked even more so. The "insider" is anonymous of course but presumably either a disgruntled ex-employee or just a troublemaker taking advantage of the desperation of the newspapers to protect their investments in the run unto the election.
Yesterday's Mirror ran a non-story about how Alan Bown wrote to UKIP MEPs in 2011 telling them that they should donate £10k a year out of their salaries to the party. He apparently told them that if they wanted reselection they needed to prove they were "good value for money" and pointed out that it costs the party upwards of £125k to get an MEP elected.
The Mirror is spinning this as a possible breach of rules around using expenses to finance party political operations but as the very first paragraph of the article says, they were asked to donate from their salaries not from their expenses.
UKIP MEPs have been told to pay £10,000 a year from their Brussels salaries towards to the party’s coffers - or risk being booted out.
Their "expenses" are for things like offices, stationary and staff and are all administered by EU-approved accountants so MEPs wouldn't be able to give any of it to the party. The Mirror will of course know this because they've run plenty of stories about MEP expenses in the past. What makes it even more of a non-story is that it was on the premise that MEPs would donate money to the party from their salaries that the membership voted to contest EU elections a decade ago.

Mirror poll shows overwhelming support for UKIP
The Mirror reports on Lord Ashcroft's polling that shows the Tories have lost 37% of their support and that half of that support has gone to UKIP.
Shockingly for a Labour-supporting newspaper, the online poll following the article is showing massive support for UKIP suggesting that Labour voters are turning to UKIP in greater numbers than previously thought.

Alex Wood was a victim of a criminal smear campaign
Police have confirmed that the UKIP candidate called "the ugly face of UKIP" by the Daily Mirror was the victim of a smear campaign.
A picture of Alex Wood supposedly doing a Nazi salute was printed along with racist comments that did not appear on his Facebook profile. The story was picked up by the media and the anti-UKIP pressure group, Hope not Hate and Wood was branded a racist despite protestations that he was innocent.
The police have confirmed that the racist comments that the Mirror and others claimed were made by Wood on Facebook didn't appear on his Facebook account and are satisfied that in the picture he is simply reaching for his girlfriend's phone to try and stop her taking a picture of him fooling around as he claimed from the outset.
The Mirror haven't published a correction or apology for defaming Alex Wood, nor have Hope not Hate who attacked him more than once. The Huffington Post, which has been anti-UKIP almost since inception, haven't apologised for branding Wood a racist but have reported the outcome of the police investigation which is as close to a mea culpa as he's likely to get out of that Guardian wannabe rag.
We look forward to the police clearing Cllr Chris Pain's name too. He was also branded a racist - and explicitly so by Hope not Hate - over comments that don't appear on his Facebook account and appears to have been a victim of the same criminal smear campaign.
Just to show how easily these things can be mocked up, this took less than 5 minutes to produce using one of the hundreds of websites out there that have been set up to create fake Facebook walls.
