Article 50 Bill published and Green Party launches yet another anti-Brexit legal action

The so-called Brexit Bill has been published, paving the way for Theresa May to finally invoke Article 50 in March and start getting us out of the EU.

Confer power on the Prime Minister to notify, under Article 50(2) of the Treaty on European Union, the United Kingdom’s intention to withdraw from the EU.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. Power to notify withdrawal from the EU
   (1) The Prime Minister may notify, under Article 50(2) of the Treaty on European Union, the United Kingdom’s intention to withdraw from the EU.
   (2) This section has effect despite any provision made by or under the European Communities Act 1972 or any other enactment.
2. Short title
   This Act may be cited as the European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Act 2017.

This is what Guyanan millionaire anti-democracy campaigner Gina Miller and her millionaire backers got for their money and cost the taxpayer millions in legal fees for. A short bill that is so short there is nothing the Lords can reasonably object to and thanks to Corbyn's decision to impose a three line whip on Labour MPs to vote for it, will sail through the Commons.

Meanwhile, the Green Party have launched a legal action in the Irish High Court which they hope to take to the EU Court of Injustice to get a ruling that the UK can't invoke Article 50 without the consent of the 27 members of the rump EU and that Article 50 can be cancelled if the British government changes its mind.

Green Party press officer convicted of child sex offences

A Green Party press officer has appeared in court on child sex offence charges.

Former teacher Vincent Spencer pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl last month. He has been released on bail and will be sentenced on September 1st.

Spencer was the press officer for the Green Party in the Wirrall during the election.

Green Party activist trying to ban UKIP from London Pride

A petition has been started by feminist pan-sexual model, student union officer and Green Party activist, Sarah Gillborn, to ban the UKIP LGBT* group from taking part in the Pride march in London this weekend.

Psychology student Gillborn is a Green Party activist who regularly attacks UKIP on social media. Her anti-democratic, politically motivated petition - which claims that lots of gay people will feel unsafe marching with gay people from UKIP in case they've been turned into an army of gay hating gays from being in an "inherently homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, racist and misogynistic political party" - has been publicised by the Green Party (obviously) and Pink News and has got over 500 signatures.

If bigoted political activists are allowed to prevent members of the UK's third largest political party from taking their rightful place in the London Pride then it shouldn't be allowed to go ahead. Either every LGBT* group should be welcome or none at all.

Thanet Green Party Councillor still on police domestic extremists databse

The Guardian has reported on Green Party councillor, Ian Driver, having a whinge about the police holding a file on him as part of a database on domestic extremists. But Driver knew in 2013 that the police were monitoring him and it's been in the public domain since the Thanet Gazette reported on it last year.

This isn't news, it's olds but seeing as how Cllr Driver is so desperate for publicity let's take a look at his record and association with extremists.

Cllr Driver has close ties to Comrade Bunny La Roche, the rent-a-mob left wing extremist with an all-consuming irrational hatred of Nigel Farage who organises the protests against UKIP in Kent and further afield. Comrade La Roche and Cllr Driver organised the violent protest against Nigel Farage during which one of Cllr Driver's prominent supporters, Andrew Scott, assaulted Farage with a placard.

The Labour leader of Thanet District Council, Cllr Clive Hart, resigned from the Local Government Association because of Cllr Driver's "futile and vexatious complaints and information requests" a year ago.

Cllr Driver had to be removed from a council meeting by the police after refusing to stop illegally filming the meeting and was behind proposals for a cannabis café in Thanet. He planned to stand for election as Police & Crime Commissioner for Kent on a platform of legalisation of drugs and prostitution but couldn't raise the £5k deposit.

Driver is a troublemaker who not only participates in violent protests with far left extremists but is actively involved in organising them. If you organise violent protests, associate with known violent extremists, get yourself into a position of authority and then seek more power you should expect the police to be interested in you.

Green Party activists in Brighton rip up newspapers with UKIP adverts on them

These Green activists had such fun ripping UKIP adverts off the front of people's newspapers in a residential block that they even stopped to take pictures. What they didn't realise was that they were being monitored by security officers and they were caught on CCTV committing criminal damage.

Natalie Bennett's boyfriend's views on rape, kidnap and paedophilia

Green Party leader, Natalie Bennett's boyfriend has a dubious moral compass where kidnap, rape and paedophilia are concerned if his blog is anything to go by.

Guido runs a story about the blog in which far left extremist, Jim Jepps, makes light of kidnap and rape fantasies, says he is "ambivalent" about teachers having sex with pupils and describes the "kindness and laughter" in the abusive relationship of an Austrian girl who was abducted at the age of 10 and raped repeatedly during the eight years she was held captive.

The Green Party are as ambivalent to their leader's boyfriend's views as he is to teachers shagging their pupils, dismissing his views because he hasn't been a member of the Green Party since 2012. Still, when the Green Party wants to legalise membership of terrorist organisations Jepps' views probably seem quite moderate.

NI Green Party councillor resigns after leader says membership of terrorist organisations shouldn't be illegal

A Green councillor in North Down has resigned from the Green Party after the leader of the Northern Irish Green Party said that membership of terrorist organisations shouldn't be illegal.

Cllr Noelle Robinson was elected as a Green councillor less than a year ago and was assistant to Steven Agnew MLA, leader of the Northern Irish Green Party. Cllr Robinson has resigned as "a point of principal" after Agnew said that arresting people for their "political views" was counter-productive.

I was disappointed that Steven went along with the belief that mere membership should not be regarded as a criminal offence.

I disagree strongly with this view.

Terrorism survives where it is supported, and, in my own view, by even joining up to one of these groups, an individual is just as culpable for its activities as those carrying out violent acts.

Natalie Bennett, the leader of the Green Party of England & Wales, recently said that being a member of terrorist organisations like Islamic State shouldn't be illegal.

Green Party's citizens income policy "unworkable"

The Green Party's "citizens income" policy that would see everyone in the country guaranteed a minimum income of £72 per week has been described as "unworkable" by an economic think tank.

The Citizen's Income Trust said that the policy would cost the British Treasury about £280bn and would leave the poorest in society worse off than they currently are. After nearly four years under a Tory government, making poor people poorer is quite an achievement.

Looks like this is another one to add to the growing list of deluded and dangerous Green policies.

The leader of the Green Party, Natalie Bennett, says that if her party was in government they would abolish the monarchy and move the Queen into a council house.

The Australian republican leader of the Greens, who has never won an election, goes on to say that they would embark on a programme of wealth redistribution and want to "restructure society". Bennett says that they will force companies like Amazon to pay more tax even though they are absolutely committed to staying in the EU who made the laws that the likes of Amazon use to avoid paying tax. Bennett has also said that they would decriminalise membership of terrorist organisations, the number of prison sentences given out would be "significantly reduced" and the armed forces will be disbanded and their bases turned into nature reserves.

This is why it's a good thing that the Greens are going to be on the televised debates in the run up to the election because as soon as you scratch away at the environmentalist surface, you uncover a manifesto that is as insane as something the Monster Raving Loony Party would come up with. It's funny when the Loony's do it though because they don't expect it to be taken seriously and don't fool voters into thinking they're not a bunch of schizophrenic, far left control freaks.

The Greens aren't just deluded, they're dangerous.

Brighton Greens trying to depose leader

The end of Brighton & Hove Green Party's brief but disastrous reign in the twin city is being marked by a coup against leader, Jason Kitcat.

Several Green councillors have stood down in the face of electoral oblivion in May, including their leader. The Spectator subsequently described Brighton as "an object lesson in why it is a disaster to vote Green".

The local weirdy beardies got together for a glass or two of Victory Gin and urged their leader to take a break and hand over the reins to someone who "has a stake in the election".

Green leader says that living on benefits in the UK is worse than living in poverty in India

The leader of the loony Greens, Natalie Bennett, has told the Economist that living on benefits in the UK is worse than living below the poverty line in India.

Bennett, who has only lived in the UK for 8 years, said that it's better to be one of the 179m Indians living in poverty "because at least everyone else there is poor too".

The Greens are happy to be seen as a single issue party because it distracts from their other extreme policies such as abolishing prison sentences for women, redistribution of wealth and crippling taxes to punish success. There is a perception that because they're "green" they are a benign force for good but this simply isn't the case - they are a far left authoritarian party which demands complete surrender to the Green state to enable them to deliver their extreme agenda.

Rochester & Strood Green Party's disrespectful Remembrance Sunday anti-war campaign

The Green Party in Rochester & Strood marked Remembrance Sunday by setting up an anti-war stall to promote their candidate for the by-election being held on the 20th.

Other parties stood down their campaigners for the day as a sign of respect but the Green Party took the opportunity to set out their stall in the constituency. They have been condemned by members of both UKIP and the Conservatives who have described it as ridiculous and disrespectful.

Green Party Peer arrested over illegal protest in London

Green Party peer and London Assembly member, Jenny Jones, has been arrested for obstructing police trying to break up an illegal camp in Parliament Square.

The police were enforcing the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act which bans people from setting up camp in Parliament Square. Protesters had come armed with gear to set up an overnight camp which is illegal. Jenny Jones says she had joined the protesters to investigate claims of disproportionate police response to the illegal protest. She was dearrested after giving her details for a summons and could now be prosecuted.

Former leader of the Green Party and their only MP, Caroline Lucas, was arrested last year for public order offences at an anti-fracking protest and Nigel Farage was assaulted in Brighton at an anti-democracy protest organised by left wing extremists, including Green Party councillor Ian Driver. It seems that the Green Party think that laws are only there for other people,

Cameron bottles leaders' debates

David Cameron is trying to bottle out of appearing on leaders' debates with Nigel Farage before next year's elections.

Cameron is using the excuse that it's not fair that the leader of the third largest party in the UK that won this year's EU elections and has elected representatives in all four home nations and at every level of government should get a place in the debates when the leader of the Green Party doesn't.

Whether the leader of the Green Party should get a place in the debates or not is debatable. They're challenging the Lib Dems for fourth place but that's more of a reflection on the Lib Dems than the Greens.

Cameron is pretending he's standing up for principals but really he's just scared to share a stage with Nigel Farage. We've had Bottler Brown, now we've got Decanter Dave.

Malvern Green Party councillor banned from council offices

A Malvern Green Party Councillor has been banned from entering his own council offices and had his council emails blocked.

The Chief Executive of Malvern District Council reportedly "erupted, blew up" at town and district councillor, Clive Smith, over his dealings with a junior employee at the council. Former Lib Dem turned Green, Cllr Smith, has a history of fractious dealings with council staff.

Green Party candidate calls for election re-run because Green Party voters were on holiday

A Green Party general election candidate is calling for a by-election to be re-run because it was held when Green Party voting students were on their holidays. He has described it as a "rotten borough" election.

Adam Ramsay, who was the Green Party PPC for Oxford Carfax, complains that the timing of the resignation of Ann-Marie Canning was "clearly planned for many months" so the by-election would be held during the summer holidays and that this is unfair on the Green Party because students vote for them whilst the grown ups who haven't had their heads filled with ideological nonsense and would have to pay for the crazy communist policies of the Greens tend to vote for parties that aren't far left extremists.

Ramsay says that the Labour candidate who won the by-election, Alex Hollinsworth, should refuse to take up his seat and call another by-election so that the Green Party can get votes from all the students who are apparently incapable of registering for a postal vote before they go on holiday.

The only salient point in the whole diatribe is that the by-election apparently had the lowest turnout of any election in the UK in history and that 40% of 8.6% of the electorate is hardly much of a mandate. That is probably as much a reflection on the quality of the candidates as it is the timing of the by-election.

Green councillor calls soldiers "hired killers"

Green Councillor, Ben Duncan, issued half an apology at the weekend for making offensive comments on Twitter on Armed Forces Day.

On Armed Forces Day on Saturday, Cllr Duncan - a Green Party councillor in Brighton - tweeted:

Armed Forces Day has certainly brought the hired killers onto the streets of Brighton today. Hard to explain to my son!

He apologised after his comments attracted widespread criticism but only for being "insensitive" to families who have lost relatives, not for branding all soldiers "hired killers" which he apparently still stands by.

Labour leader of Thanet District Council resigns

The Labour leader of Thanet District Council has resigned after the Local Government Association criticised the council for not stopping tackling toxic and homophobic behaviour and "hostility and discourtesy".

The BBC reports Cllr Clive Hart resigning because of the LGA's report and blaming the disgraceful behaviour on a tiny minority of councillors in his resignation letter but Kent Online tells a different story, quoting Cllr Hart as saying that he's resigning because of "futile and vexatious complaints and information requests" during council meetings from Green Party councillor, Ian Driver. It was Cllr Driver who helped organise the violent protest in Kent in January during which local UAF/SWP activist and one of Cllr Driver's supporters, Andrew Scott, assault Nigel Farage with a placard. He was subsequently fined and sentenced to community service for the assault.

Thanet District Council - which has previously been criticised for the suspicion of "secrecy and corruption" at the council - is preparing an action plan to address the LGA's report.
